THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE RIDE

This famous event was first run in 1965, organised in those days by the Arab Horse Society. SHEER VERSATILITY YOUNG RIDER BURSARY WINNER !
After the very successful Sheer Versatility Ridden Arab Stallion Parade which showcased a dozen or so working Arab stallions, the organiser, Judy Phillips inaugurated a Young Rider Bursary for a rider up to the age of 25 riding a Pure Bred, Anglo Arab or Part Bred Arab horse..... CLICK HERE

NEWS FLASH!

Tricia Hirst's successful international endurance horse 'Vlacq Khamul' has been ranked 8th in the FEI World Wide Rankings for Endurance in 2004. He is also 6th Best Arabian. This is the best British result since the rankings system started 6 years ago.

Vlacq Khamul is a 9 year old 15hh pure bred Arab bred by Sue Pyke of the Vlacq Stud, he is by Vlacq Khazard and out of Honeypot.

He had a very successful year in 2004 coming 1st in the 120km FEI 2 star Haywood Oaks ride, 5th in the 160km FEI 3 star European Trial run at Alfred's Tower and finished the season coming 5th out of 120 starters in the 200km FEI 3 star Montcuq ride in France, reputed to be one of the toughest in the world.
