I think ring one starts around 11, though it could be 10.30. |

Hi guys, she is in ring one so thankfully not likely to go for meat! Starts at 11am more usually than not these Arabs don't turn up I hope thats the case for this mare! |

Here's hoping she has already found a loving home and she doesnt have to endure that hell. However if she is there we have taken steps to outbid the meat man. |

The only difference between ring one & ring two is ring one is for horses & ring two for ponies, foals & ones that havnt been handled. Not to be doom & gloom but there is just as much chance of going for meat in both rings Lets hope your right & she doesnt turn up, alot dont turn up because daft people like myself find out they have been entered for the sales & buy them before they get there.

just had a thought - its years since I have been to Llanybydder - however the staff are normally in the office or the mart quite early as it is very busy - Suggestion ring the mart asap in the morning they wont be able to tell you the sellers details but if you ask them to get the seller to contact you before entering the horse into the sale - they have to go to the office to get the sale number and hand the passport in - you might if she turns up be able to persuade them to sell her to you before she goes in - just a word of warning unless they pull her before goin into the ring they will not be able to sell her too you for once shes in the mart she is expected to go in the ring and they frown badly on selling out of the ring and are quite strict about it!

You all deserve a medal for trying to help this poor horse. It's desperately sad. I am too far away to help, and just taken on another horse much to OH's disgust. He thinks I should have a sign outside saying "bring me your wearly, your lonely, your one eyed" !! but it's disgraceful to let an old horse not finish their life in dignity and peace. Why don't people understand? and why are people so heartless? |

Just concerned...any news on the Arab mare....was she at the sale.....has anyone bought her ??? Keeping fingers and toes crossed that it will be a positive outcome and she may have secured a safe haven, for the rest of her days.

Thats good news. Shame there isnt a way to find out what happened - whether she has found a nice home, or the seller changed their mind about selling.
Anyway at least she didnt have to go through that awful place.

Thank goodness for that..........she was spared the distress and trauma of the sales ring. Can only hope her Owner has had second thoughts and decided to keep her. Loyal old friends, deserve peace and quiet, good food and TLC and hope that is what she will receive in her twilight years
