Oh I really thought I had that one!! I'm confused(easily)You said 'one of them is named after his famous mother whilst his sire was her grandson One is the grandsire of this horse' Ibn Moniet El Nefous was named after his famous mother Moniet El Nefous who's sire Morafic would have been her grandson is this coincidence!I'm totally lost now especially now you say 'No its not Morafic, nor is he a descendant of Morafic's or of Moniet El Nefous for that matter'...I think I need another clue...help!! |

No, "one of them is named after his famous mother whilst his sire was her grandson" does indeed refer to Ibn Moniet El Nefous. "One is the grandsire of this horse" "This horse" being the one(Classic Dahra as it happens) in the photo underneath the phrase. Classic Dahra is by Alidaar out of Dareeba who was by Ibn Moniet El Nefous.
As I said both horses were born in the same place, only one of them left there. The photo of the rearing grey, was taken by his famous breeder. That person also bred the 2004 world champion mare.
Incidently if I remember correctly, Classic Dahra had a daughter by Kubinec which was advertised in the old Arabian Link, I remember being gobsmacked at the time that no-one from the UK snapped her up!

I apologise profusely if these horses have already been featured, but the quiz is now so huge, I can't trawl through it all to check. Have a feeling this first one may have been featured
The next 2 are baby pics of very well known british bred horses

Hi Mike, This is a tricky one, is it actually Farag? I've only managed to find one photo of him and its not a very good one just a head shot. |
