Thanks for the gracious welcome. I love the Arabian breed and love spending my nights researching different horses and looking at pictures. I love learning about the horses that make up the lines to my herd. I think it is so interesting to see where they came from. I have a small herd of six but my farm is growing more and more everyday. All but one of my gang are Arabian, my stallion is an Andalusian and I have breeding him to my Arabian mares and so far couldn't be happier with the results. I would much rather breed pure Arabians and pure Andalusians with maybe a few crosses every so often.. but for right now I have to work with what I've got. I couldn't believe my eyes when I stumbled onto this website.. this is the kind of place I have been looking for. I have to say though, you guys blow me away with how much you know. I would love it if you guys could tell me more about the lineage of my horses. The one thing I have never really understood is when people break things down into percentages.. with CMK, Davenport.. ect. What does all of that mean exactly? My newest mare, Blue Miykayah has a pedigree that really caught my attention and was one of the reasons I just had to have her. She is a little chestnut mare with a big white patch over her right knee that when I first saw her I thought was where she may have taken a fall and the hair grew back white. When I recieved her papers I was amazed to see the white mark listed. That was my introduction into the Sabino world. I would love it though if someone could take a look at her pedigree and maybe tell me a little more about her lines. I sat down one night and counted myself and saw that she has at least 28 crosses to Skowronek and so many crosses to a stallion named Mesaoud that I lost count. My two other mares ( full sisters ) are my pride and joy though. I worked for six years at the farm where they were born. They were the product of a dear friends passion for the Arabian horse. They are both SHF Southern Whiz granddaughters. Thier sire is Remi Marten, a beautiful bay son of Cognac out of a mare named Alpine Wind Song. I haven't been able to find any information on her though. Their dam side has also been a mistery so far as well.. There are a few names like Serafix and Aza Destiny that I recognize but the female lines get a little unclear to me. I would love to hear anything you guys could tell me. I really enjoy talking Arabians and I just can't believe my good fortune to find an entire website dedicated to just that. All of my mares are listed on the all breed pedigree website.. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/blue+miykayah http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cla+gin+whiz

Oh sorry.. I misunderstood. I went ahead and posted under pedigree and bloodlines. It doesn't look like as many people post to that one though. I really hope that someone replies as I would really like to learn more about my horses and learn more about the Arabian horse as a whole. I am new to the whole forum thing so I am a little unsure how all of this works. Sorry if I mess things up. I was wondering if you could tell me though.. how is everyone posting pictures under thier names or in thier posts? |

He is stunning, just how you imagine a perfect Crabbet horse to look like, does he have 4 white socks? Is his pedigree on allbreeds? I looked at another Marbon horse on the quiz, Marbon Martini who was also very beautiful, what a dream to breed them. Where is the stud? sorry to be changing the topic but guess a question will come along soon and get us back on track! jen x |

Deboniks - Reckon we might be strangly connected, i too have a Crabbet horse who's Chestnut, looks very similar to yours, but has two little white socks one side and two big white socks the other, white blaze, and i also have a Rottweiler! A puppy though..... very odd, would have almost the same signature as yours if i wasn't so stupid as to fumble about trying to create one for ages!!!
