Well I am flabbergasted!!!!
I thought you eminent wonderful knowledgable people would EASILY guess this chap.
I want to keep you guessing a little longer (come on barb, you usually come in late with the correct answer or Anfi)
He was placed third as a yearling at Islington but when he moved to his new home he could not be shown until 1952 Bound to be a give-away |

Well Jude, this is very hard and the house in the background is not an easy clue either, but my two penneth is Naseel by Raftan x Naxina born 1936 and sold to Mrs Nicholson, Ireland. Here he created a great dynasty of part breds, most famous being Pretty Polly. regards Barb |

Dear Bob and Lynda
Thanks for your kind messages of concern I can assure you that I am quite well but busy like everyone else, with the result that I haven’t been spending as much time online as I’d like to recently However, I intend to make up for it soon and have been planning some more puzzles so you have been warned!
All the best

I knew you'd get it barb and you of all people Lynda should have guessed.
Yes the brilliant Naseel (Raftan x Naxina) who was given to his owner Mrs Nicholson in Ireland by her husband - he purchased him as a yearling from the late Lady Yule in 1937. Naseel could not be shown in Ireland when he first arrived as there were no classes for Arabian horses or even for pony stallions until 1952. His famous daughter Pretty Polly was a superb example of this particular cross.
Naseel also sired some superb pure breds.
Nafisa (x Raxina) who went on to produce Fanto (Manto) and Nafranta (Manto) Nazli (x Raxina) who produced Nefeuret (Manto) Platinum Bell (x Silver Bell) Wadiha (x Wardi) Ziree El Wada (x Rose Du Sable) who went on to produce Zahri (Dagee) Zarafah (Hanif) Zarifah (Hanif) Zarozza (Argos)who produced Zemire (Musketeer) and Zohar (Musketeer) who produced Zabelia (Aboud)
Caroline I am so pleased to hear you are well and look forward to you taking over the reins |

Jude,
One of these horses is well known and speaks several languages, many would die to have his blood, his sire was a tall man, his dam is loved by millions.
The other is well known but not in our part of the world, he carries the blood of some great´s To Skowronek through Naseem and Negatiw To Witraz through Busznica To Ferneyn through Ferzon To Rafles through GA Regeyma and also AKA
Get your heads down and good luck
