Please be careful writing your horses name on the outside of it's rux alex liddle - sometimes an animal will hear a stranger call their name and give them enough trust that would make the animal stealable.
This is why you should never put your dog or cats name on their tags, just your phone number.
Dont want to scare anyone - just be aware! |

Agree with what everyone else has said, poor baby she must have been so cold, hope she is ok now though.
As has been sadi I think we are going to see a lot more of this type of thing going on as the credit crunch bites, but thing the rug bank idea is a good one. sure we have some outgrown but still serviceable rugs around the place |

If they steal the one she has on now, it really will beggar belief. I've put my postcode and my name on it. I've used silver and black marker pens and bright yellow spray paint. I wasn't very good with the paint and the rug looks a total mess. Emmie looks a bit like a walking advert. I'll take a picture tomorrow. I've contacted the local paper in the hope they will publish an article to put horse owners on their guard. The insurance won't pay out as the rug was on the horse. Where did they expect it to be? I've had Emmie for nearly 20 years and even I sometimes have a job to catch her in the rain. Inspecting her tonight, I have a suspicion that she was twitched. Hope I'm wrong. If only they could talk. |

Do you think the scumbags will want this one?? Looks a mess, but do I care?? Why should we have to go to such ludicrous lengths. Anyway, Emmie is OK, but it is so worrying to know that someone has messed around with her.

Good for you! what the hell does it matter how the rug looks as long as your horse is warm, its because it has become a fashion industry we have half these problems!!! sorry but we even had a lady come into the saddlery shop where i work for a neck cover and because it did not colour co-ordinate with her rug did not buy it!!! surely the reason for rugs first and foremost is to keep your horse warm! |
