We need as many as poss to attend this Spring show. PLEASE
The date is Sunday 27th April
Venue, Exeter Equestrian Centre, Poltimore Exeter Devon

Brilliant indoor school, lovely canteen!!! lovely people, Please support us.
All classes for Pure Breds and Anglo/Part Breds, ridden and in-hand, plus Amateur classes.

| I don't own any Arabs - but will definitely go along to watch, and probably try and get Paul_Exe to take me so he can point out the best examples of Arabs as he knows a lot more about them than I do! |

I am acting helping hand and we really need to get the entries up on last year. Just thought I would do some positive PR
Excellent judge for purebreds, Mrs C Reeves.
Sorry the only judge I know, I'll find out the others for you, Ridden and Anglo/Partbreds.
Do try and come, they give out lot's of good raffle prizes. all the gals will get to see the delectable Paul Exe |

Yes, it was a bit quiet last year
Im definately going and might even drag my gelding (of the dreadfully embarrassing name ) along if he's not looking to plain and hairy !

Shoot me if Im wrong but after Bicton last year I couldn't find the results of the in hand classes anywhere on AL which was a bit disappointing.
It is always nice to see whats doing well within your own group/ area and I do think it might encourage more people maybe ? Am not critisising just saying what I as a member and exhibitor found a bit disappointing.
If the results are on here, then sorry I am a complete eejit for sure ! |

Exactly. If I knew the results I would happily put them together and send them to AL.

I am taking my two this year, my first time at showing arabs so will be very nervous!! Rescue remedy in the pocket!
Went last year as a spectator and really enjoyed it.

I agree we do need someone to put results up on here. In the past I have done some if I have not entered and have got the results. Not easy when you are working at the show or entering.
If you offer to do them for the spring show you will have to contact Andrew Beaven, (Spring show organiser) to get the results from, contact him at above address. Or Jenny Morris Bentwichen Cottage, Bentwichen, North Molton for the Summer show at Bicton.
One year when I was on committee I did actually get the results in Horse and Houndand I got it reported in Horse and Hound too. Not easy I promise. I sat for ages on the computor re doing the results in the format H&H require.

Wow that sounds daunting ! Good job we accept it in any format ie. text, word, word pad, excel etc  Look forward to hearing from you all soon. Good luck with the shows if your entering . All photos welcome. |

No, not mad or confused, probably a bit mischievous like a lot of us are on here
Yes I do hope to do the results and if time some photos for the Spring show, but as I am meant to be moving house, I deleted my post in case I can't keep my word.......small important thing to me.
I don't know, maybe I won't be here for the show, who knows? we are in the lap of the Gods
What does it take to get anyone other than the regular peeps to jot down a few results to put on this forum
Gossy, I don't run the show, only hoped to give it a boost to encourage entries, last year was abysmal. There is a deadline to entries, sorry don't know it, please look at my original post and see who the show sec is and ask him. I wish they did entries on the day too, always get more if you do that but a huge pain in the but for the folk doing the work......as per normal.!!

You've got enough on your plate. Wasn't being wicked, just confused !I will happily do the results, only glad to do my bit ! Would love to do more to support and promote the group.
Will get in touch with Andrew before the big day. Like you say, was pretty awful last year, we really need EVERYONES SUPPORT !

Lets just hope schedules get sent out at a bit earlier this year than last year! a few days to get entries back in is a bit much to ask even for the orgainsied

| Gossy - the SWG spring should should be really good - especially with Caroline Reeves as one of the judges !!! However I must tell you that on SATURDAY 12th APRIL the Wessex Group are having their Spring Show at THE HAND EQUESTRIAN CENTRE BRISTOL !!! Literally on YOUR DOORSTEP - you must come to that one too, The Hand is a superb E.C. and so easy to get to from the M5 (for everyone else that doesn't live in or near Bristol) Sorry to hijack your post SueB !! but had to tell Gossy about the show on her doorstep....Elaine |
