Now then Judith - this is just not fair!!! How come Jo gets a ride on your girl and I don't!!! tee hee Talk about small world - Jo flies in from Cayman Islands to ride a mare rather related to her own and both came from North Wales. Jo bought her girl after holidaying with us many times and being bitten by the arab bug. Sounds like your guests suffer a similar affliction. Keep up the good work Laura |

lol Laura, I did ride Tara twice last week and she was very well although my friend phoned me today to tell me that she had a little accident today and slipped on a very wet and slippery part of road and has hurt her knees. Luckily the vet doesn't think its too bad and should be healed up within a week or so
Hope you and yours are well. How's Shah doing? |

Hi Jo - long time no horsey-chat! Sure grazed knees will heal - she always was very fine-skinned filly. Shah is just peachy - Cultivating his middle aged spread and happily covered all his girls this year; looking forward to some time in the knee high grass with Khazad in couple of weeks - we're STILL covering, can you believe?! Got a really super yearling colt by the old man who is his double, cheeky too. Don't say it too loudly (he might hear) but we're tempeted to keep him as Shah's replacement - currently called Batman though we may have to pick something less camp when he's older :) |

Well, I quit my job in Leeds, sold my house, dumped my fella and moved back to breezey NWales, bought a puppy (Who has his own fanclub, the tart)! Been back 12 months now and working horses, showing, RC etc. Bit stopstart with my anglo mare (Maj's half sis) due to weather and cancellations etc but we're getting there. 6 fab foals safely arrived and 3 3yo geldings to break in the autumn - 1 of them is pushing 16.2hh now so lord help whoever has to get me on that fella! Mum's 60th pressie to herself was a Welsh Sec C 3yo gelding (last autumn) who is SO CUTE and absolute thug - I reckon mum encourages him you know! She still rides my hunter too. Currently 4 colts on the yard and we cannot choose which to keep. 3rd crop of foals from the Babson stallion and we're noticing the family traits now - he's a real sweetie and his babies are so kind and loving. So howz u? Having adventures? Tara doing ok? |

I'm good thanks. Going back to Cayman on Saturday when it will be back to hard work!! I am starting a new position working for the managing partner of the firm and his PA is away for the first two weeks so I will have to cope with his 'demands' on my own!! Missing Tara lots, but glad she is being looked after by someone who is very competent and loves her to bits. In fact she asked for your (Vlacq) details so when I have Tara back she can come and get herself a nice Arab of her own!!
I am planning to come back for another visit around May next year, will have to make time to come up and visit you!
And if you ever fancy a holiday in the Caribbean just let me know! |
