So my grey is either JABASK ELZARA AHSB*30311 1996 Mare Grey SECRET PARTNER
JABASK AL KHORA AHSB*30312 1997 Mare Grey SECRET PARTNER
making her 10 or 11 years old.
And the chestnut doesn't appear to be yet registered - will I still be able to register not knowing what year she was born? I suppose a covering certificate would have been supplied and therefore I may be able to trace her via that - is that correct?

Hi erveryone. I'm the lady who owns CR Serbask (Basky) out of MC Natlie Jabask (MC Natalie/GG Jabask) and Bru-bet Seradro (EW Leandro/Serafilia).
I'm not sure if I can add anything useful but I will try!! Basky, MC Natalia Jabask, Bru-bet Seradro and 3 others were all imported from bowling Green, Kentucky, in 1990. They belonged to MR S Arabians, who got all of there 18 horses from Bru-bet Inc (which then became McLaughlin Arabians -the MC). They went to Gellidara, but my boy was apparently infertile so was gelded and sold to an old couple who lived down the road.
I was led to beleive that MC Natalie Jabask was Grey - this came from McLaughlin Arabians who bred her. I have their email address if anyone would like to get in touch.
I have been trying to trace Basky's past and relatives for some time now - I would love it if your mare is MC Natalie Jabask (as I have emailed/call a few places trying to find her. She would be 21 now??
If temperament is anything to go by Basky is very laid back, a bit skitty, but an absolute angel. He is (was) black, but gets this from his Dad. He is a very similar shape to your mare (the grey in the pictures?) not your british type, but how they look in the USA.

| the ahs said that m c natalie jabask is the mother of lady bethany and that she was born in 1982 not 1986 and that she was grey not bay, all breeds says different and im not sure which is wrong!! ive sent a vet sketch of my mare to the ahs so they can compare to m c natalie, m c natalie jabask and lady bethany so will soon see |

Hi,
OK - on Basky's papers it says that MC Natalie Jabask is Grey. This is on both his AHA (Arabian Society of America) and AHS papers (this is why he is registered twice - see previous post!). I would take this to be true, as his breeders registered him as a foal.
McLaughlin arabians is tersk50@yahoo.com.
Basky is 14.3. I believe Bru-bet Seradro was about 15.2HH!
It would be great (for me!!) if she is MC Natalie or MC Natalie Jabask, as Basky's Mum or Granny is close. He's in Glan Conwy. He looks a lot like her - he always looks like he's in foal!!! many sites let people put on and edit the horse deatils - so they can get changed over time.
I have tonnes of info on his past, breeding etc. Him and his Mum are both whta is classed as a Golden-Cross, which is sort after in America! |

Molde, On CR's findings I've removed Bay from the allbreeds, these details can ba altered and they are not gospel. Sounds as if the mare was Grey as we thought in the begining.
CR' Can you tell us just what horses were imported to the Stud in Wales, there names and the year they came, and if you've any pic you'd like to share with us, we'd love to see them....
Molde,It sounds as if your mare is one of this studs mares, as you say she looks as if she's bred foals and also looks very 'US' type, have you thought of emailing Sian a picture of your mare,maybe sian & her mother could take a look, the pic with the head and nose markings, in case they can recognise her straight away..
I'd still like to know if there are details recorded in any of the Stud Books to confirm which mares/horses were there at Pwllhi prior to them leaving the Country, anyone got the stud book for 1994/5/6/7/8, can it add any info... I am still wondering about the arabs that werwe sold at Llanybydder in Dec.2006.
And there seems to be loads of pictures missing for this studs horses from the allbreeds, if anyone has any, can they let me have them and I'll stick them on, might help for folks now & in the future..thanks

hi,
i have sent sian a picture of my mare and she thinks she is out of m c natalie but she said she was out of t c jabaskson, but there are no mares out of these two that match my mares age!!so i rang the ahs and they told me about the other grey fillies but out of different stallions, so its a bit of a long shot. sian hasnt replied to any messages yet so not sure how certain she is! |

There were definately 6 horses imported. I know for definate that 3 were:
Cr Serbask
Bru-bet Seradro
MC Natalie Jabask
If anyone has datasource subscription they can look this up - the bredder was MR S Arabians, 235, Anna sandhill Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky, KY42101.
I knwo Basky has two siblings bred by the breeders, but will prob have more bred by McLaughlin. These are CR Sulty Swayzee and CR Serajabask, don't know where the second is but SS is doing endurance in Kentucky.
Personally I think the others are MC Natalie, Lady bethany and either Bo Bit o Bask or I think there was another Bo ... Bask or Jabask Sakara. If someone can get on datasource it tells you.
It was september 1990 that they arrived.
I have got loads of pics of Basky and I am in the process of trying to get one of Bru-bet Seradro (apparently he featured in Arabian Horse Mag in Sept 1984 if anyone has a copy??). I haven't got a clue how to put them up - can anyone tell me or do it for me??? |

Hi, Bru-bet seradro died a long time ago I'm affriad. I think it was around 1995?
Basky's old owners are Mr & Mrs Bourne who live in Llangwnadl, phwllheli. they know a lot about Gelidara as they had about 4 arabs (maybe all from there)- if anybody knows how to look up their numbers they could give them a ring. The population of Llangwnadl is about 10 so shouldn't be too hard!! |

Register with Photobucket, load picture to there and then copy it across...
Found reference to Bru-Bet Arabians in a couple of old Horse World, GG Jabask's picture features in several Horse Worlds in 1985.Seradro has a pic in 1985 Jan,p 717, but, I don't have it...

Thank you so much for getting in touch with me. I do know the mare and I
have received another e-mail from a lady with two mares, one white and one
chestnut.
My mother did not sell any of the horses, but that is not your fault. When
my mother came out to the middle east she left the horses in the care of her
husband and her son. When her husband died her son got rid of all the horses
with out the knowledge of his mother. He kept on saying that all the horses
were well and that was that. Till two years ago when we went home in the
summer and we had no horses. I am trying to trace as much of them as
possible, but it is very difficult as he got rid of them with out their
passports. The mare that you have I think is a daughter of MC Natalie out of
TC Jabaskman. If you contact the AHS they will be able to send you a copy of
her markings so that you can compare both.
If you need any assistance I would be happy to help you.
The mare looks great and I will be sure to show my mother the photo

He looks fantastic!! I've put the last two of MC Natalie's progeny on allbreed (yesterday) but it'll take some time before they will be visible. The database is updating now & then by automatic. I know it can take 7-14 days or more!

So Moldequine do you think your mare is 'LAYLA JABASK' out of MC Natalie and by TC JABASKMAN - I know the horse is registered as bay but she could have gone grey after registration. Or do you think your is definately a lot older than 13?
Anyone any idea where Miss M E Osborne comes into all of this and how I have one of her mares along with a Pegi Jones mare? Were they partners perhaps, or did their horses just run together and got sold by the Jone's son also, is Mollie from Pwllhelli? Is Miss M E Osborne still breeding or is she in Saudi also? So many questions unanswered! If Sian replies to my last email, I will send another and ask these questions. |

Hi this is an email i got off sian this morning!!!
Mc Natalie Jabask is a Black Bay mare, and Bethany is a grey mare - they are
much older than yours. Your mare foaled just after Bint Natalie - she was a
1991 foal and your a 1992 foal. Bint Natalie was shown in the Royal Welsh as
a foal at MC Natalie's foot in the summer of 91 and your mare was born the
year after.
