Not sure if this mare could be one of the ones sold in the sale but she seems to have similar breeding...
15hh Dark Bay/Black registered pure bred arab by TC Jabaskman out of Sondas Jabask. hacks out alone or in company proving very sensible, 3 good paces would excell in endurance/ racing. (Dealer-£3995)
Ooops edited to add she's in Gwynedd, N. Wales |

Looks a nice 4year old mare, especially for anyone wanting to keep this line of breeding with Bru Bet Seradro & GG Jabask in there and from bred the same lines as some of the others in this posting with Pegi breeding, Wonder if this one came from the Anglsey breeder or the Sale up there, certainly the breeding everyones on about, well spotted Kash...I bought an Arab from these folks 4 years ago, realy well bred, just had a trip around their web site and they have others for sale, they are realy nice folks and I know several other people who have bought from them...Sue
PS, CR just bought that Dec. 1984 Horse World from the US with feature of Serafix & Bru Bet horses..etc.. |

Fantastic.
I will scan to Bo Bit page and send it to you tommorrow. Could you possibly do the same with the bru-bet seradro to ceri.thomas2@wales.gsi.gov.uk
Bru-bet are now McLaughlin and they breed Russian arabs. Think they just sold all the bru-bet stock randomly. MR S arabians sold the ones that were imported to the UK (there is a list of the ones they had at some point on this topic) |

Hi CR, Could'nt resist having a bid on that one, thought I'd read it & sell it on, although its a Serafix Special and he was Crabbet after all..only just paid for it so it'll be a week in Airmail coming.not cheap though...will keep you posted who in and Seradro is in the one I already have, although its not a good picture. and Did you checkout Kash's link to Penny Long in Nth Wales, she has a black 4 year old for sale of the TC Jabaskman breeding at the mo, I bought an arab off her 4 years ago & know the family well...As for the list of Pegi's horses I'm still adding then to the allbreeds, I'll be here till christmas....just lets hope you three get your mares papers sorted after this fiasco....Sue

The papers are slowly getting sorted. Not heard back about Al Khora yet, but they did say that one would take longer. Unfortunately the parents of the Crystal Leda were blood typed and not DNA'd, so I have to get blood out of her - oh heck is all I can say. Now she isn't going to stand and let the vet do that, nor to dope her - and I doubt very much I will get a ACP paste down her - ACP tablets would be tricky as well.. I am going to speak to my vet and see if she can suggest anything - I need a zoo vet with a blow dart:-) Oh for a simple life. |

CR, Here you are, another one for the collection...( lightened a bit)and Bru Bet Seradro.(Arrived from the US) In 1984 he is listed as at stud with Leo Hansen. ( picture lightened a bit.) Nice article about Bru Bet & the Serafix connection, list all the mares and where most of them came from and how they choose them, they had quite a collection of Serafix daughters.GG Jabask came from Zodiac Farm, they also owned another mare named Rose Gay(1964) same name as my pals mare in West Wales. My girls would have only been a year old when Pegi & Co left the country, and have not been handled since that before I had them, so that is 8 years running wild. I have a headcollar on the chestnut and can lead her around a little, but there is no way I can hold on to her if anyone buts her under pressure. The grey, nope not managed to get a headcollar on her yet, she'll follow me anywhere, and let me stroke her whilst she eats out of a bucket, but thats about it and if you do put too much pressure on she thinks nothing of swinging around and lashing out, so its the slowly slowly approach. They are 100 times better than when I got them, at that time they kept a whole fields length distance between you and them and were complete nervous wrecks. They really would benefit from a round pen and some natural horsemanship, I did put the grey forward for the last time Monty Roberts was at Southview but I never heard anything back - she is probably too big a project, although it would make fantastic viewing.
Nice pictures... |

I would suggest getting them in a stable, they come round alot quicker that way, i used to break horses for a fella near me who left them running wild untill they were 6 or 7, i had the job of handeling them first then breaking them and they come alot quicker in a stable. i used to sit there with a bucket of feed and hold a headcollar in my hand and it used to take me a week to get one on. once the headcollar is on its alot easier, then get them used to being touched and groomed. its amazing how quick they come to trust you when you go in their once or twice a day with a bucket of feed. |

Yes I have done the whole stable bit, they were in for two weeks when I first got them. And yes they are quite easily bribed with food up to a point. Never could get a headcollar on the gray and the last time I tried to keep her confined she had the worse dose of colic I have ever seen a horse survive - she was lucky and since then I have never put so much pressure on her because she is very easily stressed. The chestnut is a lot more managable but I doubt she will accept the vet sticking a needle in her without her or someone getting hurt, and with having a foal at foot, it is not something I really want to risk. She is always going to be elusive unless it involves food, but we can live without as she has had a cracking foal - her mother even though always handled was a bit of a wild madam apparently. |

Hi everyone!! I had the dentist out to my mare who is supposed to be 15 year old sophie and he is certain that she is not 15 and more like 18 or 19, i had a different detist this time and they both say she is older than 15 so thats left me wondering if she is actually sophie! or are the dentist wrong! i sent two lots of markings to the ahs to compare them with layla jabask and mc natalie jabask and they have lost them twice so will send them again. Also Molly says sophie did not have a flesh mark! |

Yep i still dont know, Mollie did say that if she was bought from mr savage then it must be sophie as she went with that lot. i could do with speaking to mollie again really but have lost her number! i hope it is sophie as that means she is only 15! the dentists could be wrong, she could have poor teeth due to neglect and poor nutrition! she has got gum disease! |

I'm wondering if you could find someone with all the stud book entries of all mare recorded at this stud, over the years of interest, you might be able to do a bit of an elimination, and sort out who it might not be. |
