Hi Judith This is taken from Palomino magazine in 1995. I saw Harvest Gold in the flesh and she was much prettier than this.
Was she owned by Ann Farman? If so Ann is still breeding. Her e-mail is on the UK-USA Saddlebred website. She may have some better photos.
Best wishes Debbie

To carry on this theme then....
Has anyone got any photos of Roundhills Hawaiian Harvest or Goldmount Bourbon Genius?
I believe Genius was the first palomino saddlebred stallion imported into the UK in the 60's by Jan Browne. There was a lovely story that she published in Palomino explaining how my old mares grandparents - Genius and Goldmount Kathy Haines came over by ship and had to be lifted by crane with straps under their bellies over to the side of the docks!!
All of us with big UK bred palominos probably have decendants of these two.

Hi Judith You should be safe - she would be older than 20. This photo was taken in 1995 and I think whe was a 4 year old then if memory serves me correctly. She should be 26 now.
How sad that someone is selling a 20 year old mare though. Wish I had some more space - I would love to breed a palomino NSH. Your chestnut stallion would throw something special with a palomino ASB.
Thanks for posting the piccie of Mariner of Netheroaks btw... He was my mare's only husband. I have checked to see if I have any more information on the colt but all I know is that he was bred in 1987 and he was chestnut. Kate Darby told me that he was very big.
She got my mare Fayre (Fayrelands Hawaiian Dawn) from Mrs Lane in Bewdley though who I think you got Rufus from. Mrs Lane swapped Fayre for a cremello to get guaranteed palominos. She must have bred the colt and she might know what happened to him if you still have her number.
All the best Debbie |

Debbie - thanks for the photo of Harvest Gold Jan Browne sold her in foal (Ginger) to a lady - who then sold (she was moving abroad) Ginger at about 8mnths to a gentleman in Scotland & the mare to someone with Welsh cobs (I think) in S. Wales....I did speak to the gentleman a couple of years ago - but have lost his contact details....the mare was old then & I don't think that they bred from her?
I have no idea if Mrs Lane bred your mares foal? I have her contact details & email addy if you want to PM me. I spoke to her about a year ago - she is still breeding.
I've tried several times to phone re mare ....but no answer - prob just as well....I too find it very sad that she is for sale at that age!

She had just been started Western - I have not carried on that way - but think I might change her back as I think she looks rather good in Western tack!

Judith... Moonshine Vision is about 3% Quarter Horse, and atleast 16% T/B. He only has about 12% Saddlebred, and atleast 39% Arab.
So that leaves 30% of, I'd guess, more Arab and T/B |

thanks for all your welcomes, Gucc is by moonshine visionX legend moon goddess ( i that the dam is correct, though i must double check that, im doubting my memory now.)
He has been a really easy horse to back and i am happily hacking out on him at the moment, not sure what to do with him really, i believe he was shown quite a lot as a foal. i will try and figure out how to put a picci on of him
just need a saddle to fit!!` He is 15.3 and lovely even though he is a bit nippy at times. the yard all call him gay gucc because they say hes far too pretty to be a gelding. judith i have been looking for b&s to take g when hes been out and a about a bit more, i fancy taking him on a weekend away, where about are you located? i can definatly see a resemblance between ginger and gucc, all except the colour. |

Hi Zakyle I remembered seeing this photo of Roundhills Gucci in the Palomino Magazine. He won the youngstock championship at the BPS Midland Championship, Derbyshire Festival in 2004. He was owned by Diana May then who probably bought him direct from Jan Browne.
Shame is is not colour but congratulations on owning your own champion. I am sure Diana will have some good photos of him as a youngster.
I am glad that Gucc is going to have a home for life with you. As a "lifer" myself it upsets me when these beautiful animals go from home to home.
Good luck with him. Can you post a recent picture - I bet he is gorgeous now. Moonshine Vision is my filly's grandsire.

Hello again Moonshine Vision has a fair chunk of Irish blood in him through Mr. Suntan. The Summer/Autumn 1999 edition of the Palomino magazine had a little article about the Shepley Stud. This photo of Mr. Suntan was in it together with an interesting story of how Mrs. Collings was told about him by the Duchess of Rutland who said that his breeder had been appalled to have bred a hunter of this colour!
It says Mr. Suntan is by Mayfair III (TB) out of Sylvia (Irish bred Hunter mare).
It would be great if someone has a colour picture of him. Debbie |

Hi Indi
It was a part bred arab class and was won by a bay horse all plaited up etc. so we were really pleased with him coming second. The judge rode him and said he was a super ride
He did win the overall supreme ridden and overall in hand championships this year at the South West Palomino show.
We were really looking forward to him competing today at the Palomino National Championships for the first time in the ridden, but due to the weather, a decision was made not to hold the show but there again we can always try next time
He has been British National Champion Palomino three times (four if you count the foot and mouth year where there was no show) and he has only been there 5 times
He really is one special horse
