| Oooh was does your book look like with the first Shanrih on it? |Can you take a picture lol! I have the P of O devil to ride. Look on Ebay thats where I got all my p of o ones that I didn't have. |

I've had word from my friend - she's taken this thread to Pat and she was ever so moved. She enjoyed seeing all your photos too. My friend said it was the most upbeat she'd seen her in a while.
Please feel free to send her get well cards (address on front page of thread), and you never know, she may put pen to paper again. |

| Arabmare I can't find it anywhere boo hooo, but have found all of my other ones, all with P of O on them except for 12 Running Wild which has the original Shantih. I think someone took a pic of their Devil to Ride book on here with the original shantih on it on this thread on page 1. Now where has mine gone to?? I have to say I did not like the third Shantih horse not at all how you imagine her to be. |

Ah, Pauline, you beat me to it with Sharukh's name! He was small, I did see him in the flesh once and was surprised at his height. But he was the perfect Shantih as far as I'm concerned.
I am another one whose love of Arabs was totally inspired by the Jinny books. I wanted a chestnut Arab mare after reading For Love of a Horse, and eventually was able to fulfill my dream with my first horse. She didn't have 4 white stockings but she was my perfect horse.  I called her Shantih although her registered name was Paramar.
Arabitis struck me badly after that and I wanted more chestnut Arabs! I now have 3 of them, I still haven't managed to breed one with 4 white stockings (I have one with 4 white socks though!) but I'm working on it. I do have a Shantih though, registered as Shantih el Saghira - she's my original "Shantih"'s granddaughter.
I've still got the full set of books - the ones with Sharukh on and a full set with Prince of Orange on. And yes, I also still read them although I'm far too old to

Farrier has just arrived - so am making coffee! Then friends visiting , the Chiro is coming thisafternoon to treat two of the mares - so no riding for me either today! Must get together for a gossip - long time eh?!
Oh & I've got the perfect chestnut arab stallion - 4 white legs & face - not to make you jealous or anything

I havent got a Shantih but I have a Sharni. she an be "A Devil to Ride" but today hs been an Angel.
