Sorry, don't have a digi camera to take photos at the minute, you are also asking for information regarding Naglar, she was the dam of Nashiba.Perhaps(if we are allowed?)you could let me have your address and I can let you have some photos that way.Nasiba did have one foal which I have tried to trace over the years but have failed so far.A chestnut filly born in 1992 by the stallion Mabaurab which we also owned he died in 1998. He was sired by Aurabba ,the filly inherited all his white markings even down to the white socks and a large white knee on the off side and long stockings at the back going up the stifle.Unfortunately she was never registered which makes it more difficult to trace her.Still, maybe someone would recognise her. |

Hi Ronnie, Good to hear from you after all this time,,I did post on here a while ago asking for your help & knowledge, so I am delighted we've discovered you....Those were the days...and I still prefer a good part bred today. In my teens I used to help out at Twylands and remember most of the ponies there and many that came out of Rosevean. Used Solway North Wind after he won Ascot in 1968 and this filly stayed with me untill her death in 1997, her dam went to Chinook, where Davies's had just got a new young colt Rosevean Wildfire. We bred a Zepher filly (Spring) both her and her dam Out of the Blue, went off to Goulds at Trelleck Stud and spent the rest of their lives there, they soon aquired Bwlch Zingaree. I only saw Bwlch Valentino once, at home in Cusop, they gave him a call and this beautiful white stallion came galloping down the hillside to meet us....Great ponies. Sue (Mirth, Chuckle, Perdita) and now its back to the Arabs and Indian Starlight.

Rosy Rider I was at Tollard for the last five years - what you might call the Elijah era - from 1981 to 1986 when the stud was disbanded due to Mr. Michaels ill health. Nandina was my favourite mare - so elegant and serene but Najella {ex Najat)was my fave Elijah filly. She went to Saudi along with Indian Snowflake"s colt - Haqqan. If you mean NAHLAH as one on your list, her picture is in the AHS News, Spring 1979 the Farley Hall Stud advert.

Ronnie,I also liked Elijah and might have seen something about Najella and abroad....Haqqan in new to me will have to look that one up, What happened to Indian Snowflake in the end, was she there all her life or did she get moved on...and It appears your the only person with photo's of this mare.... as for AHS No's 48 & 49 I don't have so will need to find someone with it...Sue |

Thanks for the photos Ronnie. I did not realise how like her dad Natahlya is. I had never seen pictures of him as a youngster. I had only seen the one of him in the desert.
You would not have known me but I am a very good friend of Tina Cooke and often saw you showing and was in the ring with you at Bath and West one year. |

Rosy Rider and Tamila, yes my " dear little Mirth" - what a pony! Have plenty of photos from that time, too!! Shame that the top ponies of "a few years (!) ago" have mainly been forgotten. They were the fore-runners of the British Riding Pony. Glad you liked the photos - I have more of the horses sold at the dispersal including half siblings to Nasseem. After using a very round about route to show you these few photos perhaps it is the wrong place to put them? Also, how far away do you wish to go from Nimet? Child, grandchild, aunt. I can fill you in on quite a few - from 20years ago!!! Ron

Hi All,
I can add a grand daughter of Nimet, she is Najatah (Zircon Nazeer/Najat) Najat was twice British National Champion also International female if I remember rightly for Michael Pitt-Rivers amongst numerous over awards. Najatah won numerous showing classes for me and is now an advanced endurance horse. She stands 15.1 hands and is a dream to ride. You can see her on my website http://lapwortharabians.com Also do you remember Nasem her full brother at the Bamfords shown by Libby Dudman. He is another of the 'N's and a descendant from Tollard Park. He to was a prolific show winner as a colt but has now been gelded. |

I agree, Ronnie without you we would not have seen these wonderful pictures...thank you and Jingo for getting them here... and making my day, seeing Nandina is great and I think Nasseem has the same head and look as his Mother and was the second from last foal born to Nandina in 1998.....Thank You..Sue... |

Hi, folks - please note the spelling of HADEIR, not Hadier. Tamila - between 1975 and 1983 Nasib sired (funnily enough) 25 colts and 25 fillies, registered in the AHS stud book. Rosy Rider - I don"t know why I said I had a few more pics to come - I"ve got lots!!! I like arranging to show them on here because I"m SO THRILLED that so many of you are soo interested in the horses. They were a lovely lot!! R |

Hi. Just caught this thread! I have Navita by Nimra/Nimlat/Nimet. It's great seeing all the photos of her relatives! Navita is in my signature, but the photo is quite a few years old now! She is greying out flea-bitten, and stands at 15hh. Will post a better picture when I get it sorted--took me long enough to suss the signature :P
