Hello everyone. I'm another newbie here..and a bit phased by it all at the moment, theres sooooo much to read! Does anyone know if the horse advertised for sale on http://www.horsedeals.co.uk/horsedetails.aspx?horseid=23543 is the russian gelding Grando (Grenlando/Martina Nareen)? The 1st photograph definately looks like him, but the other 2 look like a different horse (?) Maybe im wrong and it isnt him at all...can anyone tell for sure? Remember seeing him alot in 2000/2001 in-hand and he always did so well.

I'm 100% sure the horse in the top pic is Grando, just the other pics dont look at all like him. i guess he could have changed alot in the years since i last saw him though. Does anyone else know? I rang the mobile number given...but no-ones home! im intrigued now..as he was one of my favourites all those years ago..lol. |

The top picture is def. Grando - I'm sure he was advertised on AL for sale not so long ago. Hope he finds a happy home. |

The top picture is definately Grando as he was for sale on the gelding section recently.
Think I read that Linda Lyall used to own him so she could confirm it if you post her an FAO. |

I took the initial photo (at HoCoN) when he was dapple with a black mane and tail - he was a stallion then. |

Hi Marilyn, Yes the first picture is fabulous, just goes to show what a difference a professional photographer can make! If the last 2 pictures are of Grando, they aren't the best they could have been. I loved his colouring when he was a youngster, but if thats him now, it seems hes lost that glorius black mane and tail and im sure he had black legs too. |

I remember the ad on AL and I'm pretty sure the other two photos were in the ad as I remember thinking how his colouring had changed. cate |

Yes its Grando. As already said the first photo is of him as a young stallion and the others of him as an older gelding. Remember a grey horse will start dark and go through many colour alterations on the way to being white, in some its a quick process in others very slow. |
