There are pictures of Nimet and son Nasib in some of the old AHS magazines.
I have seen a lovely one of Nasib in his new home in Saudi I think.
I wuill try and find my copies and put them on here but I have a feeling they are packed away somewhere.
Nimet was a beautiful little mare and I mean little. I had a Nasib daughter who was also little and people used to think she was a Welshie. She actually produced quite large foals though. |

Sue, The mare I had by Nasib was Natahlya who is now with Sue Rich in Bristol. She had two foals for me, Hameelya and Akram Gold, both by Golden Cavalier. I bought her for her bloodlines from Tina Cooke. She was out of Al Zaiyanna , Ahmoun x Luda. I used Akram as a stallion until he was 8. He has quite a few partbreds who are doing very well in performance and two purebred for me who are also doing well. His daughter, Samira Gold has done well in dressage and his son Ramak Gold, who is with Sazzlepants(Sarah) is also doing very well in the ridden world. Akram is now with the person who posts on here with his name,Lisa. I will try and post a picture of her on here but there is a photo of her on Sue Rich's website. (Oakleaze Farm)
Veronics, I was gven to believe that Nimet just about made 14hh. I may be wrong as I only saw her in a photo and the other horse may have been quite big.

Hi,I have a mare by Nasib out of Naglar. Her name is Nashiba of course and she is now 25 years young! She is fleabitten grey (white) and was ridden up until last year,I have no doubt that if I tacked her up now she would pull me like a steam train up the nearest mountain. She is very beautiful, very refined and is the image of Nimet. We love her to bits and just cherish every day that we still have her to look at.She was given to us eighteen years ago by a lady called Hazel Farndell from Chichester. |

Nimlat, Al Zaiyanna was only about 14.2hh but very substantial. Her daughter Natahlya was barely 13.3hh but also substantial. When I say small I mean under 14hh, which by today's standards is small, as I do not think arab mares were meant to be big but, of course, they have become so probably due to the feeding in Europe and the trend to breed for size. Tamila
Nice to hear that Natahlya has some relatives, half sister, who is still around. |

Nashiba is only 14.2hh but pretty substantial too with fabulous limbs, she is by far the best mover of all our arabians, she will hear us from the bottom of the field and will pick up trot so effotlessly and just fly!She brings quite a lump to my throat just to watch her especially when I remember that she is 25 now and will not be with us too many more years to come.I wouldn't think that there are too many of this line left now. |

Natahlya is retired from maternal duties now. She was also a great mover which has been apssed to all offspring. Akram has two purebreds who have inherited the movement and 6 partbreds who all do well in performance but 5 of them are actually ponies which children ride and the other is in endurance. I would like to have had a few more purebreds but unfortunately finances would not allowed it.
Over the years I have not come across many Nasib offsspring but I do not know at what age he left this country. Perhaps Nimlat could tell us as she must have known him really well. |

Thanks to you all for all the info,folks...all very interesting..
I now understand that Nadea was exported after she had Nandina(1980)any info about that please..
The Indian Starlight Photo's are like gold dust, Nasib(UAE), Nadea(exported) & Nimet, all linked to Michael Pitt Rivers, Tollard Park.and I have no idea when the stud folded after his death, but Nandina was sold to a UAE gent and went to Water Farm to live. Several of the horses where exported to UAE. Anyone buy stock from that time and what horses or desendents have you got..
Nimlat,Please keep me posted about the Indian Starlight Pic's, will have email in a few days time...
Akram Gold, Whats your horses name out of Natahlyn..
the one in the picture....and did check out this mare at Sue Rich's who was at the Marathon riding last weekend...

Hi Sue,
Akram's offspring are Ramak Gold and Samira Gold (Cleo as she is so arrogant)out of Tamila. Ramak is with Sazzlepants who posts on here and Cleo is with a friend of mine doing dressage. She bought her at 2 weeks old and had never had an arab before but borrowed her uncle, Rimarli, and that was that. They say once you have ridden a arab you never want to ride anything else.
One of the offspring is out doing endurance and is out of a trackener mare and another is doing very well in hunter trials with a 10 year old girl. He is palomino. Another one is also a child's pony and one is in the West Country and I do not know about her.
Icarus, who hunter trials has a suberb temperament and is very brave. |

Nimlat, If you are, I think, I also know you from Rosevean at Hindlip, and the horses there Bwlch Zepher,Hill Wind and also used Solway North Wind and helped at Twylands in the 1960ies... now you've started something....
Tamila, Tell me the name of the one doing endurance as I can look it up and the rides its done as an EnduranceGB member and rider.

Rosy Rider Mr. Micheal gave Nimlat to me when he disbanded his stud. Most of your requests are Pitt -Rivers bred, some a bit before my time, though. I bred Nimul and Nimra, dam of Navita - an ALiner!! Most of Nimlat"s children are named Nim-----. Nimlat died last year aged 21yrs. Would be interested to know why you are so keen on Nimet"s line? Have you a descendant?

Hi Nimlat, I have Nasseem (1998) out of Nandina, he was sold through ascot sale in 2003, after racing a few times, since then he's also done a few endurance miles and finished with a grade 1, ridden by Emma Owen,I also took him to Malvern showing where we finished 4th, in quite a strong class.... and realize that there are loads of this line still missing photographs and have always been interested in the breeding side after spending years in the riding pony world... Can you tell me when did you first get involved with Tollard Park and when did he finish with the stud, I understand he was in poor health and that many of the horses went out of the country. We still have Nazram near in Worcestershire. Nandina was sold and spent much of her life at Water Farm, in her last years she went to Jane van Lennop and produced her last foal there which went to Scotland.,she also died a couple or so years ago..she was a refined white grey, quite dainty and about 15hh I understand, I hope you have pictures of her...... Al Mirwah, also out of Nandina has done well in endurance and won a mileage trophy. Nimul, out of your Nimlat also raced and had 2 wins in four runs. Kuhaylan al Dahman is out of Nadea (bred in the UAE).
where you at Hindlip with Miss F...& Rosevean...
