By Marbon Maestro. She was advertised for sale on here earlier this year. I just wondered if she found a new home or anyone knows where she is.

Alan I did wonder this as well, I saw Meganne at Di's before she packed up, but at the time didn't think I had the confidence to bring her back into work. I had to sit on my hands when she was advertised recently.... |

Thanks everyone. She was advertised on AL by the lady Di sold her to. I wish I'd bought her but am just interested where she ended up. She had a lovely colt by Marbon Masadi who is now in Denmark. I'm hoping the lady who advertised her will get in touch. |

No nothing yet. I guess she will be another Old English mare that'll disappear. Such a shame as so few of them left. Only around 140 Old English mares of breeding age & 50 100% Crabbet mares left in this country. |

Not many is it so very sad. I would love a 100% Crabbet mare but so sadly out of my price range. |

We've been lucky enough to have been offered a 100% mare on breeding loan for Masadi next year. Also 2 100% Old English mares for Crystal Magic. Just trying to do our "bit". Hopefully next years Crabbet Convention will bring a few more out of the woodwork. |

I used to own meganne when she was a filly. We was looking after roslinda while she was in foal with meganne. I had meganne and her sister melinda. Meganne was for sale on here back in march time. Sallyanne offered me to have her back apart from I couldnt come up with the money that was asking for her. She said she needed to sell her asap because her other mare was in foal and she had no space. Since I have not heard from her either has Di of what I know. Meganne was a very special filly to me. It will be nice to find out where she is now. I wonder if the new owner has changed ownership details in her passport to write to AHS. Thats how I managed to get into contact with the owner I sold meganne too before she went to Di and had masifa. |

Alan if you ever breed a chestnut or bay colt/filly with 4 white socks and white on its face and its for sale i would be very interested . I do have first option on a 100% mare after her ridden days are over but it could be years before she arrives with me, but i am happy to wait for her. |

That's interesting. We've had a run on requests like yours. We do have two foals due next year. One by Marbon Masadi & the other by Crystal Magic so you never know!! Just out of interest what is the 100% mare you've been offered? |

Omg... I have just looked in the wanted section (never realised it existed) and there are 4 young high % crabbets seeking a new home urgently or being PTS!!! 2 stallions, a mare and a yearling - unbelievable!
Can anybody help? Surely bloodlines are precious - not to mention the fact that healthy horses should not be PTS. |

I've been in contact with him. The mare is 100% English. The stallion is SE & the other 2 are the offspring of those. They are in Ayrshire so too far for me though I'm supposed to be cutting down for a while!! Think I'll put up a separate thread as they do really need help. |

Just looked on H&H and I'm certain that I found Marbon Meganne is for sale on there. I compared her markings to the photos I took when I viewed her last year. Lovely mare but not what I was looking for. Hope she goes to a permanent home.

As you say Mrs DJ I have Roxanna (Nashaal x Roxyana),a beautiful old English and 97% Crabbet. I cannot afford to breed from her so she goes to waste at only 20. She has had two lovely colts, one by Mareschal and one by Aurelian. I feel terrible about not being able to use her but I have also a hip problem which means I would not be able to handle a foal. At the moment she is a companion for my old lady Tamila who is 29 and going strong. |

She was due to return to stud this year and then the yard was put up for sale i am still there but the house and yard will sale because of where it is i am just waiting there now.
As for putting her in foal its had to go on hold for now as to many yards are just not suitable round here
Is Anna really 20 years old it only feels like yesterday she foaled Roger ouch i feel old |

Hi I know this is an old thread but my sister has just bought a chestnut mare straight from the field. She is in a bit of a sorry state, thin etc. We decided to google her passport name ( Marbon Meganne) and up came all this info on her. Meg as we know her is a very much loved mare it seems with people still asking after her. We are hoping to hear stories about her, see photos of what she once looked like. She is now in our family for the rest of her life and will be a very spoilt horse. Hoping to hear from you soon. |
