Victoria, Tony and I are so very saddened to hear of your sudden loss of Apres Moi. He has been an amazing horse, who has given you so much pleasure and many `highs` through his consistently successful career at the Major Shows. It is a cruel World, he was still young and had so much still to give. Prep has left you with so many cherished memories and hope these will help you through your grieving in the dark days, since his passing. He will always be there in your minds eye and will never be forgotten.
2012 has been a disastrous year for Prep`s connections. We were informed early this year that his half brother Apres Nous had died and only thirteen years old. Apre Nous, like Prep won several British National Championships and also Supreme Ridden Champion at Cherif and BSH&RH Championships amongst his many wins at the Major Shows.
Their Dam, Sunray Sincerity (Kiri) was purchased from us as a weaned foal and Linda (Alexandroff) promised her a home for life, she kept her promise and Kiri produced twelve fabulous foals, all of whom were successful. Kiri had lived here at Sunray, for the last seven years and sadly passed away from suspected heart attack aged 21 years.
In May, we were shocked and devastated, when we were informed that Linda had passed away after losing her battle with leukemia. We had been close friends, since she had purchased Sunray Sincerity.
The final blow, in that Kiri`s last foal, a four year old gelding and full blood sibling to multi champion Petit Etoile, had to be PTS in June, following a long unresolved problem rendering him permanently unsound
A very very sad year and hopefully 2013 will prove much happier
