Great pics and she looks so content, and yes her back end is very strange - looks like she has had a bad accident of some sort, maybe somersault over them damage to sacroiliac joint looks a possibility. Keep up the good work.

Pauline Crick owned for a while - is it worth contacting her to ask for info on her past, and also photos? |

I have contacted Pauline as she used to be up the road from me at Lane Top Farm. Hopefully she may have some useful info. |

Thats great, would be very useful to have more info. Perhaps her possible tail injury happened many moons ago or after Pauline sold her - would be interesting to know what happened there - if anything. |

I had a reply back from Pauline Crick. She is shocked at the state of Viuga. She sold her to a lady in Wales called Karen along with another mare. Attempts to keep in touch were not well received and she even said that she would want Viuga back should she want to move them on at any stage. Pauline is trying to find any pics that she may have and wonders what happened to the other mare that she sold to the same woman. She is called Nanata if anyone knows of her? |

Hi Kim,
Yes sorry, i read your message on FB but was abroad till today; of course i know Viuga;
We sold her here in the Tersk Holland Sale in 2000, Viuga is
Born at Tersk Stud and she raced as a two and a three years old atthe Racetrack of Pyatigorsk
17 starts 2 wins 1 time second and 5 times third her record of different distances: 1.000m
1.11.6/1.200m-1.29.9/1.600m-1.54.1/1.800m-2.06.0.
She produced the following offspring at Tersk Stud:
In 1998 Evkalipt grey male by Esplendor
In 1989 Vorojba chest female by Bagdad
In 1990 Vaga chest female by Gusar
In 1991 Elodeia bay female by Esplendor
In 1992 Evridika grey female by Esplendor
In 1993 she was barren by Esplendor
In 1994 Elvira black female by Esplendor
In 1995 her foal died by Esplendor
In 1996 Vigvam grey male by Mat
In 1997 Vostorg grey male by Gusar
In 1998 Vagner chest male by Gusar
In 1999 she was barren by Gordon
In 2000 Viun bay male by Negasimyi
When she was sold here in the Tersk Holland Sale 2000 she was infoal to Piligrim (Gips x Postup)
She is now 28 years old and one of the last Aswan daughters still alive today; we still haveher year mate
Vesna ( Aswanx Stihia), but she is already unfertile for some years.
Well we hope you will give her some good years as she deserve that after 11 foals in Russia and some more
With best regards |

Kim thats great news on the bloods :) As to what happened to Paris, she was sold by Cricks to Karen from Pentre Arabians, she then repassported her with the Dartmoor Pony Society as a 20yr old (& its all there in black & white in the passport for all to see) & then sold her on as a riding horse....sorry maybe shouldnt name & shame but it has made me cross that someone has knowingly repassported Paris so they could sell her as a riding horse, when she so obviously isnt & quite honestly should be thinking about being retired. She was in pretty poor condition as you all know when she was up for sale last year. At least Paris can now have the retirement she deserves, well done Kim for saying you would have her & thanks for all the updates!! Just a quick edit to say it would also be nice to hear what happened to the other mare, sadly i suspect she was also repassported at the same time & also sold on. |

Does anyone know how old Nanata is? On NED she is down as passported with Arab Horse Society and born in 1989. That sounds to be the original passport info. |

Thats great news Kim that her bloods are normal.
I am getting increasingly worried about Nanata. How can we find out if she has been rehomed (hopefully into a lovely retirement home!)

I suggest if anyone is bold enough that they contact Karen & ask her, if they are concerned about Nanata, i had no joy & got fobbed off when i called to speak to her. Her number is easy to find if you Google it. |

I am so naive, but for that mare to have all those foals and then sold to end up to be rescued.....there was no respect for her. So pleased you have had good blood results and Dr Green is dong its magic. |

I may be able to shed some light on Nananta. She was sold to someone I know a year or two ago, that person has now had to sell her on due to personal reasons, but when I saw Nananta last she had picked up condition well. I will see if I can find out anything more up to date about her. |
