I havnt posted on here for sometime regarding Paris as there was alot of unpleasantness that made a nice thing turn into something not so nice. Its also caused alot of distrust & animosity between people that was based on unproven gossip.
Paris is now on her way to Smilers rescue as we speak, she loaded like a pro,as usual, & the lady who was transporting her seemed very nice & the lorry was very posh lol, so she is traveling in comfort. Smiler has assured me that the vet is arranged to see Paris tomorrow to check out a couple of little concerns i have with her, but hopefully its all something & nothing.
The other piece of news i have for you all is we have had it confirmed that Paris IS Viuga, born on 26th June 1983 at Tersk Stud in Russia and imported via Kossack Stud to the UK in 2000, so a well traveled little lady.
I hope we can all wish Smiler well with Paris & we all look forward to receiving regular updates on her progress :)

Paris just before we loaded her for her journey:

Hope she has a good trip despite the windy weather, and arrives safe and sound. Also hope that it goes well with the vet tomorrow, and that this lovely old lady settles in well.

Great to hear of a happy outcome for an oldie, especially one as well travelled as that, bless her.

If Paris could speak she would be so grateful to be in her forever home and no more travelling, one of the lucky ones. Well done everybody

thank you georgia for the link she has such goodlines as far as i know has only ever had 2 foals in this country and at 28 she will deffinately not be having any more ever again she could be infertile anyway at her age just glad she did not fall into the wrong hands with someone who thought they could get a foalie out of her i think that would kill her off IMO so happy retirement with my old boy i think

Thanks for all the kind words, Paris is a lovely mare & deserves her well earned retirement.

On a not so good note, can i just add anyone wishing to PM me regarding my decision to send Paris to Smiler please think before doing so. The whole experience has left me with a sour taste in my mouth & i will not be putting myself in this position again.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear this. I wish Paris all the very best, she sounds like she has a lovely home with Smiler and I know from experience that it can be an expensive and quite often heartbreaking process taking on an oldie.

Well done to everyone who assisted with this rescue and wishing Paris and Smiler many happy years together.
