| OMG, poor Simon, I was with him just a couple of weeks ago, they kindly invited me to stay over after the open day and we spent a lovely evening in his and Susans company, I am so so sorry for poor Susan , she will be devastated . RIP Simon , wonderful man. |

I have just seen on the BBC news website that Mr MacCorkindale sadly lost his courageous battle against cancer yesterday evening.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially Susan. A truly lovely gentleman passed our way.

So very sad to hear this, Susan must be devastated....I really thought Simon was going to win this battle

Terribly sad news, I met him a couple of times and he genuinely seemed such a lovely person, his enthusiasm was just infectious. Life just isn't fair.

| I am so sad to read this, Simon was a lovely man and so graciously helpful and polite whenever I spoke to him. I really thought that he would beat this. Like others I thought he was looking well at Malvern and Towerlands. My thoughts go out to Susan at this terribly sad time. One of life's gentlemen. |

| So sad, and poor Susan. It seems Simon gave his all to everything, if the achievements at Georgian Arabains are anything to go by his life was rich indeed. He was always so happy ringside watching their Arabians under saddle. RIP Simon, and all our thoughts to Susan. |

We've been in tears here remembering him. A true gentleman, he always made you feel special, such a shame. Why is it this dreadful disease takes our best and most honest lovely people from this planet?
