Hi All,
Paula - I've e-mailed you about this re. Brightwells!
Ascot is holding its Annual Arabian Horse Sale on Tuesday 24th August, this is the only annual Arabian Horse Sale in the UK and many top class race and endurance horses have been bought here inc. mutliple winner Noble Athlete, Endurance Champion Vavaar and leading Arab show producing broodmare Rose Aboud.
Sale is open to ALL Arabian horses registered in stud books including for the first time this year Arabian show horses, endurance horses, race horses and part bred and Anglo Arabs.

Know someone thinking about putting her 12.2 reg pba, Mosstock Just Perfection, in this. Daughter has totally outgrown this fab pony (Count Dorsaz/ Oakly Bubbling Spring). Seems like a place where she would be appreciated. |

Just a reminder entries close this Friday and there are very few horses forward this year. Will keep you all posted and give an update next week.

Just in case anyone is sitting on the fence the sale has about 14 horses entered so far from a variety of race, endurance and show lines. The deadline for entries has been extended to Monday 2nd August.
This WILL be the final Ascot Sale as Kelanne Stud is now empty of sales horses (last 9 entered here) and there is no appetite from the wider UK Arab world to support or utilise this dedicated sale of Arabian horses.
I'll let you all know when the catalogues will be made available.

Just to confirm the official deadline tomorrow is 1 p.m. so please make sure any late entries have been faxed to Brightwells by then. Good variety of horses so far! |

Couldn't agree with you more Loosefur.
From a racing point of view, over the years, I personally have bought 4 pure breds from this sale. All 4 have gone on to be multiple winners on the racecourse and one that I retired from racing has this year achieved her FEI 1* endurance qualification.

And having never bought anything at auction before, let alone a horse, it gave me a really big buzz, especially when the hammer went down and he was mine! I had to physically restrain myself from leaping in the air and screaming - that sort of behaviour is really not the done thing I'm sure. Even though I am not in the market to buy this year it's still tempting to go down for the day, though if there are only 14 lots it's probably too long a drive to be worthwhile. |

You're braver than me, I have to get someone to do it for me! It's still a high though when they come over to you for your details and you suddenly realise that IT'S YOURS
Off subject....I have a feeling we met at Dukeries. Were you with Lucy when I ran CS Khan.
