| Yes she will only text and email it seems, she is speaking with my friend though (who has offered a home to the other pony) but isn't very co operative, she refused to accept less for the poor old girl (says she's already "cheap") will update as soon as we've heard back from her. |

| Ok so there is a mare missing and also one for sale cheap without passport?? So has anyone or can we contact the person who is missing the mare and point them in the direction of the advert. |

Just adding on looking at the 20yo t/b for sale, he is wearing his bridle in an interesting fashion... I agree with the poster who said it is a very sad site |

that was me. it's heart breaking to see so many animals being sold for such little money, is that all they are worth?? i was looking for a puppy the other day and there are hundreds for sale.
i think breeding should be licensed no matter what animal!!! there needs to be some control over it. |

| I live very close to this area. I can't help financially (just split with OH so need all the pennies I've got) but if you want another person there or a hand with transport just yell. |

I have got to look at several horses not arabs near me lady who owned them died and i been asked to help they are well looked after and loved but we need to do whats best for them which means some of them might have to cross rainbow bridge if they are too old so they do not end up in the cheap adds in 6 months time |

| sent another "smiley" text last night to non responding owner, in hope of allaying any fears that I/we are "the authorities" and are after her in any way. No response til 11am this morning when I got a text saying that "hi i think they both going in morning". Hmmm. Sent another "smiley" text asking her/him to contact me if arrangements for mare fell through as i was still interested. Sounds even more dodgy by the hour. Why was she so keen to tell me abt the mare up to abt 3pm yesterday and then go monosyllabic and vague abt where she was and when I could see her and now they are both "going in the morning". Perhaps it was me saying that the no passport was not a problem as I know a DEFRA approved person who can issue passports and could come and do the mare on site so that she could be legally sold and transported. (This is the manager of the Canterbury Horse Rescue). i dont think I have the necessary guile (but I'm learning fast!)to outwit some of the possibly less straightforward people in the horse owning community. Or perhaps she swopped both of them for a 4x4 as was another stated possibility, along with loaning. Poor animals. I wonder if we shall ever find out what has happened to them - unless, BigMac, you and your friend who was possibly going to have the pony, have managed to secure both of them? |

| Hi, sorry have been feeding all the hungry mouths!! Yes hoping for these 2 to be picked up in the morning, if she will hang onto them until then if not it may have to be tonight (still trying to negotiate on price) Is anybody close by or on route (between dover and essex)? in case this little mare can't make it all the way or (worst case scenario) she needs to be pts (haven't managed to obtain a photo to access condition) hopefully all will be well and she will be fine to travel but without seeing her who knows!! |

what tomorrow morning ? she said they getting picked up today ?
can you not visit first to asses condition or wont she let you or is it cos its so far just realised your dover i think if you turn up with box and offer money she will come down especially if she is in bad condition you can negotiate price ! |

| She did want them picked up today but hoping she'll hold on until tomorrow, waiting to hear back again from lady that will be collecting , i'm way too far to visit first (besides she'll be coming away from there no matter what) They are in Dover, lady that is picking up (and rehoming the pony) is in essex and i am in norfolk, although won't be expecting her to make the journey to me in one go, she will be staying with friends in essex if/untill she's fit enough for me to collect her, providing on collection she is confirmed fit enough to travel to essex otherwise this is why an emergency foster home may be needed in the area!! |

Both horses are being picked up in the morning, first thing, had to get passports sorted first, it's a long journey and too far for her to come to me all in one trip so she will be stopping off in essex with the pony (who is being rehomed by a friend there who runs a rescue site) both will be staying with her to be assessed by the vet etc. If/when she is ready to travel to me i will be collecting her and bringing her home!! The rescue site have arranged transport to collect them and a collection has been started to help towards this, if anybody is able to help please visit the site where donations can be made. Not sure if i can put a link on here?? if not pm for address details
