I noticed last night that their was a go as you please on today at a local riding centre. I wasn't feeling to good last night or this morn but i pulled my self out of bed this morn so i could go do xc with xsara. It started off very well popping some small fences, and some slightly bigger ones, then i jumped into another field. There was like an area raised sides and you rode down into it and out the other side. I thought well i will ride down and out the other side what i did not know was there was a ditch in the middle, well xsara decided it would be better to jump up the side of the bank and down the other side and when i did get her over it she did one big leap then bucked the whole way back out the other side lol. She then popped a log and jumped up a bank and down the other side. Then we decided to take her to the water, well we had to contend with defeat no way was she going in we asked for a lead no difference helen tried to lead her in i got off her helen at her head a i was pushing her bum but no so we gave up and thought will try another day lol. Then went up the field popped another small jump and got her going. Well i seen some nice logs and thought i will jump that helen climbed over it to get a picture and said that is quite big you know i said no it not, well xsara had the same idea as helen and was nearly over it then put the breaks on and i landed a heap on the other side bridle an all over her head lol. She didnt go to far she stood and ate the grass while i put it back on. Well i decided i maybe over faced her and popped another fence next to a cottage, jumped some yellow pipes and then popped the tyres a few times. I then thought she had enough so took her back the way i came and popped over the ones i did in the first field. I popped a log then onto the brown barrels, and then over another solid wall type fence she pooped over them beautifully cantering with her ears *****ed looking fof them and flying over them. I was about to finish when helen said sure do the steps so it was a log then two strides to a step down and then the steps up i did this both ways. When i had did them individually i then did it as a combination so down the steps couple of strides to a small bank up and then a few strides to the log up a hill she did it lovely and then we finished her on that. I was well pleased with her for her first time and when she gets the hang of it i think she will enjoy it as much as i will we just need to build her confidence as i think i am a little bit more confident than her at the moment here is some pictures There was actually a small raised log infront of these barrels
the ditch
the fence she stopped at and i came over her head you would think she was about to jump it
Really good pics....that one where you are coming off does look like you are about to jump it. I miss cross country. My horse would have a heart attack if I took her to something like that haha.
fabby photos. That one where you came off, it does look like she has her legs up ready to jump, dont you just hate it when they do that to you and then set their legs right back down again and whhhhheeeeeeeeee you go flying
