It is interesting to know where these Anglos are. I feel that the British can be a little too reserved for their own good when it comes to promotion. I would like to take this opportunity to suggest that some of you might consider bring your Stallions forward for AHS Premium Scheme Grading, it would be a boost for the Sport Arabian to have some young bloods and would most certainly put Arab bloodlines back where they belong, at the fore front of competition. |

Sue Fisher's mare Weirton Dauphine ( King's Flight ex Dolphin Dream ) has just had a filly by a TB, whose name escapes me at the moment, and I can't wait to see her out and doing!!. It's lovely that so many are getting fillies but it doesn't help in the choice of stallions and with the emphasis on competition horses at the moment so many are gelded before they get a chance to prove what they possibly could pass on. Still better to geld one too many than one too few!

Jean i agree.
Its quality not quantity!!!
Thought of two more.

I have 2 homebred Anglo Stallions Dubloon Blue now 23 years young and still competing. Has just helped the Riding Club to qualify for the Riding Clubs One day Event Championships and will be up at Offchurch in August.
His son of 7 years Chapeloak Sovereign Jubilee was British National Reserve/Champion for the first 4 years of his life. Competes in all fields and has just covered his first (Anglo-Arab)mare so I had better get on with getting his licence sorted.

Heritage Orion is, I think, still entire. Nicky, there is a really lovely mare by Jimmy out of Dolphin Sylphide, that is going to hit the show circuit very soon. |

Hello Di Marbon Beaujolais, is very much alive and producing some good stock, crossing with Warmblood has I believe proved extremely successful. How many are putting Anglo to Anglo I wonder. |

Denmooor
The filly i have on the for sale page is an anglo to anglo. She is also a premium AA to AA!With a lot of premium stock in her pedigree both TB and AA.
I like putting Gemini onto TB mares but that's just a personal preference!
I am lucky as i still end up with 25% so can go another generation crossed to a TB.
I remember having one of the Cymond mares and she was something like 3% arab!

Rach 1, please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Chancton Golden Colours' dam (Desert Colours) by the 8x BNC Theobalds Flying Colours and out of BNC purebred mare Bint Ludoet. If I'm correct then Harry has some fantastic bloodlines, and his foals will no doubt be stunning!!!
Please forgive the error if the number of BNC's Theobalds Flying Colours achieved is incorrect. |

Yes..........you are correct, Theobalds Flying Colours was eight times British National Champion. Can well remember the day at AHS Nationals, Peterborough 1976, when our homebred Anglo Filly actually beat him (must have been one of the very few, to ever have outshone Colours...and a very memorable day for us) Those were the days when classes regularly had entries of twenty plus.....AHHH the memories!!!
Can only hope Chanton Golden Colours fulfills his illustrious pedigree as we so need new young Anglo blood to replace the former Anglo Stallion Stars

How old do i feel now hearing that name!!!
We had "flights of fancy of pinnerwood" by Colours, who i think was five times British Nat Champ and went on to go to HOYS five times as a large riding horse and is still going strong up in yorkshire!
We bred one foal form her by gemini but it had an accident and scared its self badly so just went of as a general riding horse.

Hi all, Tahir - you are quite right about his breeding, though I must admit I didn't realise that his Grand Sire was such a star. (!) His baby is an absolute stunner and I couldn't be more thrilled with him. If I ever learn to put photos on here I will share him with you. |

Hi,
Just thought I would confirm that we also have one of Somerset Morns colts Maraday Mystic Morn. Jake as he is know at home was very successful inhand including Double British National Champion, Best Anglo at the UK Champs to list just a few. Unfortunately people forget them if they are not on the circuit.
Another stallion by Somerset Morn is Maraday Somer Morn based in Wales, owned by Cheri Bell.

Hi Philwood
Yes we did stand and compete Maximillion who was a premium stallion, but he had to be pts a few years ago following a colic.
They didnt keep an entire son of his so that anglo line is sadley gone.
Maraday. Jake is on the list! Do you still have Kalaharee as we added him to!

An anglo stallion that has recently come to my notice is Safraz. He stands at Heath Stud in Surrey. Does anyone have any youngsters by him? |
