Here is one for you to all have a think about.

Who are the AA stallions left!!!!

I can think of these any others?

My own Fairlyn Gemini from the freezer!!!!!

"Turning point"
"Fairlyn Fanfare" (not at public stud)
"Persiflarge"
"Fairlyn Falcon"
"All that jazz"
"Kalaharee"
"Maraday" ? (sorry Margret forgot his name)

Then my mind goes a blank. Its my age

I have an Anglo Arab Stallion - CHANCTON GOLDEN COLOURS(BNC) (Harry) - Bay, 4 years old by Golden Heights (TB) dam Desert Colours (Premium AA Mare). He is half (maternal) brother to my ridden horse OTTOMAN. Harry's first stunning baby is a couple of months old.

Yes....think Saristocrat is the last Anglo colt of Somerset Morn and also the last we bred off Karitzi. Saristocrats eldest, should soon be out under saddle, so fingers crossed.

Ironically Saristocrat is the same colour and size and is identically marked like Scelebrity. white star and white pastern on near side fore....amazing really!!

Hi
Last years marathon winner Fools magic is anglo, he is full brother to my mare connie. Sadly my boy unable to register as anglo as mum has some unproven parentage back in her pedigree (despite the fact we are sure it is tb)

Mrs Vlacq

We had a very good Fairlyn Gemini daughter out of a mare by Hipiu who.

She was a very successfull small hunter and side saddle horse and is now a broodmare.

She was third i think at the Royal this time last year.

VJC

Your foal looks super, you can see "Jack" in it.Genes are a wonderful thing

Rach1

Golden Heights has produced some very good horses. The little TB mare that Philwood owns was one that we bought from the lady who owns him.

I think Diane (philwood) has an anglo stallion as well?
Another for the list!

Do you intend to show your lad under saddle?

Kirsty

Sorry you have a missing link with your lad so he doesn't make the list!Perhaps we could start a PBA stallion one?

There will be loads for that I'm sure.

Hipu babies were wonderful on the move and oh so sweet natured - with a cracking jump in them too... I still miss him lots. Kamal is very like him in a lot of ways and is loving work so I hope they do choose to use him - maybe grade him too.

I have snatched the last few Hipu filies for myself haha!

Yes

When you look at the fillies and even the massive gelding we have out of Lady Arabella you can see the "Sunray" in all three of them.

The gelding is two and over 16hh already and dispite the fact he is by an oldenburg he still has the look of the AA but built like a brick **** house!

We have two homebreds, Whispering Chinook, bay, (50% Arab) and Silverfrosted Charisma, grey, (25% Arab). They are both by Accondy, by Sadlers Wells. Whispering Chinook is out of one of our best broodmares, Mistral Whisper, by Crown Court (Manto x Selinda) and out of Miss Ola. He is first premium graded. Silverfrosted Charisma is out of my grey Anglo mare, Silverfrost Fantasia, (Loudoun Lad x Miss Ola, by Ayton Rebel). She was a very successful showjumper. The boys have fabulous temperaments but not so many people seem to want to use Anglos any more.

Yes I do intend to ride/show/compete Chancton Golden Colours - I have almost finished backing him, though being 4 and having some stud duties has slowed things down a bit.!

The most consistently popular Anglo Stallions over the last two decades have been the three British National Champion, Premium horses: Fairlyn Gemini, Somerset Morn and Sunray Scelebrity, all now sadly deceased, though Gemini has frozen semen available.

Fairlyn Gemini is NASTA tested. Somerset Morn and Sunray Scelebrity were not sent forward for NASTA testing and gained their AHS Premium status through their afilliated performance progeny. These three stallions have certainly left a legacy through their stock and we now await to see the future Anglo Stallion Stars emerging

Jean and Bob Bates premium Anglo, Kings Flight also made a strong impact in the Anglo/Part Bred Arab Showing World, before his untimely death and has left a good number of top class stock to continue his bloodline.

uuuummmmm

Its good to see that there are some young anglo stallions out there.

Lets hope that they come out and compete like the old lads did and show the world that the anglo is a superb sire.

The Dolphin horses always crossed very well with Gemini!

Pintoarabian

People do still want to use the anglo stallions especially the eventing lot who realise the worth of the blood. You just have to get them out competing and get then graded. We have had a very busy season with our partbred lad and not a single mare with arab blood! Everyone has used him for his competition ability and train ability covering warmblood mares.Geminis semen also goes out 99% to warmblood horses to breed competition stock. Its a sign of the times!!!
