Hi, we bought G.Fantastica from the Gucci sale. John nearly had a heart attack when I put my bidding paddle up. She came to us as a two year old, now 15 years old, she has bred us some fabulous foals (including Fayth) and she will never ever leave us. We love her dearly she is our Queen of the yard.
We had hoped to show her in verteran classes but she has a nasty injury on her foot which sometimes makes her go unlevel. (Caused by slipping in a crush at an insemination centre)
G.Fantastica. by Ibn Estopa ex Fanatica. |

Lovely to see all these old pics. It is nice to see one of Top again; the best one I have of him is rearing in the main arena at Malvern; (it is on the back of one of the AHS Catalogues): he is the sire of my Gucci mare - G.Forgetmenot that I purchased before the sale; she is the dam of Marbon Momenture and Marbon Mobago (both of whom are now winners in the show ring. Momenture was by G. Loventure and the last time I saw him was when I collected "Topsy" from the property that Peg now lives at. I wish I had taken a picture of him - he was a lovely boy. |

Here's a couple of Andrus, sire of my boy G Lanzelot, out of the beautiful Lalique DS (who I'll try to put a pic on of after), I'll also put one on of Lance who came up to Linda Hannaford's from the sale as a foal at foot with Lalique. I bought Lance aged 2 - he's now 12 and VERY different from the brown, hairy creature I first saw...

Hi Lynda I have the prices too, they are in Guineas in case peeps are too young to understand, the old Guinea is one pound and one shilling.....not much help am I.Then we had VAT added on too. So by todays standards some went for good money. I feel this sale was the opening of an opportunity for ordinary folk (like me) to obtain lovely bloodlines not usually available at a price we could afford. |

Thats good about Vibrator, he was pretending to be a gelding when he was entire anyhow. lol
I remember riding him in the indoor, then off he went in the White Lodge Arabians horsebox, so that must of been for your niece.
I wonder what happened to G Poloma be interested to know if anyone has her? |

Yes, Vibrator was at White Lodge for a number of years, before my sister moved him to RAF Northolt (yes they had a livery yard there!!)
He was a super gelding, my neice had loats of fun showing him and he did a bit of everything else as well.
