If I knew anybody then I would ask them as I really can't bear the thought of what is going to happen to him, I am driving myself mad thinking about it and have been in tears with frustration, if I had known over a week ago, I could have got back or arranged something, I just want to save this poor boy from terrible suffering, please God there is someone there that is meant to have him and love him for the rest of his days at least I can put these terrible thoughts out of my head, I would shoot my own horse rather than him go through this, its a chance I would not want to take for him, I owe him too much and this stallion deserves the same, why doesn't the owner just advertise him for a low price in return for a good home??????? we could have all chipped in and saved him and whoever had the facilities to keep him or was willing to keep him would have had him, I would have been glad to give him a home for life bless him as I am sure others on here would have done, this is awful |

Ditto gerri!
I do have my old arab stallion who is 19yrs now, gelded 17yrs old as he was over the top and very stress until realised he is here to stay as been in 8 or 9 homes in his life before i had him,he so much happier.i won't ever think of sell him as never know where he go to so he gone to lady who i know adores him so agreed she keep him permanet, return to me if she ever have to give him up,prefer that for peace of my mind instead of sell him on just for few hundred!!!shame on you to the owner who own the stallion as if she can not keep him,can rehome or permanet loan instead of send him to auction, shame on you |

Taranstorm, you are the owner that all horses should have, you put your horse before money or gain or anything to make sure that he is in a home where he can see out his days, I have done that soo many times, thats why I will never be rich!!!!! but I can sleep at night knowing that my horses are safe and well. I don't want to sound patronizing but I take my hat off to you, just wish there were more like you |

Gerri - i'm not rich either, just can not see any arabs end up wrong homes by sold through auction as rarely some are lucky to find special home,i even got my 14.2hh stunning arab x welsh mare 4 years ago when i first ever step into auction with not plan to buy anything(never again go auction as not nice place to sell horse to as never know where they go to next, poor horses!),plan to find her better home she deserves yet she still here but will one day find right owner for her.. i'm too soft sometimes which i'm lucky my parnter understands and supports me 100%. |

I have to say my O/H suports me 100% too, so I am lucky that way too, I went to a sale many years ago to buy my winter rugs etc and there was a lorry full of arabs, they had cut legs from the hourney covered in flies, no water and all looking really dejected, I know that three of them had been bred by one of the top studs known by everyone and these horses had been sold for high prices to "good homes" by the stud and all of these horses ended up at this sale as livery debts I bought a mare, took her home got the vet out the next morning to check her against the paperwork, and then when I was sure she was qho her paperwok said she was I contacted the stud and told them what had happened, they were shocked and horrified, when I went to the Middle East I sold her along with my home bred colt to a forever home and friend for very little money with an agreement that they come back to me should anything ever happen to my friend as he was a bit older but deserately wanted them and could offer them a fabulous home. |

Gerri - you have good heart ...its annoyed me when a breeder breed 4 or more foals yearly when they know current climate not right timing to breed yet they still do it but that my view. Really hoping good news later about the stallion and the mares |

Both the mares sold for 450g each and seemed quite carm and not overly bothered.
The stallion didn't sell he was bid up to 375 but unsold, at least he didn't go for meat otherwise he would have come home with me. |

Well done Nedds for keeping an eye on things. Shocking how little money these horses go for. Did you happen to notice what the other mare went for (the Welsh 17 year old due to foal this year to the Arab Theo)? Hopefully now that breeder will call it day for it looks like a money-losing and pointless waste of good horses all round.
I am glad Auvation is OK. Is the sale as bad as they say?
Gerri - the catalogue only goes live on the Tuesday before the sale so we are always going to be in this agonising position . I wish I had my own land. |

what did Emily Rose look like? - anything like my mare on the left? Love to know where she goes, as her breeding is so similar to my mare? Such cheap prices! |

God I hate living in Holland and not being able to have bought them, such wonderful bloodlines. I am sure a lot of people would love a mare with that breeding in the field. Would love to find out were they went, and I hope some good news about Auvation soon. Monique |

Unfortunately i doubt the breeder will stop breeding, shes been breeding arabs for donkeys years & never sells them for huge ammounts, i looked at a couple of colt foals she had about 3 years ago & she only wanted £300 each then, to be fair some of her horses are quite nice & they all looked well look after last time i saw them, i cant help but wonder why she chose to sell them through the sales though? |
