Hi Athena,
I'm glad you like Zak His breeder tried to breed me a full brother or sister to him but we couldn't get Nikkita in foal to Zibak. Her other mare Nikkola (Zak's 1/2 sister) did and Zhaazeer is the result. He's about 78% Crabbet (I think) with the rest being Polish. He's still entire and I'm not sure whether to geld him or not. As far as I know he's the only entire son of Zibak so I don't want to do something I may regret later.

Hi Lila,
Thank you very much, i have bred off her once, but unfortunatly i keep changing my mind as i worry sick i will lose Sayyida. Is her breeding good? Do i need to breed to high % Crabbett or Courthouse? Not sure of the difference. I would like to breed off her next year as she is a wonderful mother. Any tips for a stallion? I am close to a 100% Crabbett if he 'is the one'. Any advice stallion wise???

Guisburn lovely pics of your horses, i've always wanted to come and see your "nuhra" herd! But you are a long way from me! So it's great to see pics!
Love to see more of your Zhalim!
Moira i love Zak too, very flash!
I have my own Kazcade by Derbist x Kazamah(Indian Silver x Kazra) unfortunately she gave birth to a stillborn colt this year by Rusleem, but fingers xcd, she'll raturn to him next year and have a live healthy foal!
Love everyones pics, of their Nuhra decendants!
It's scary how few are now left with an all english pedigree!
Kathleen love your mare too, when is the foal due? |

Hi Monique
Hope you are well. Just caught up on this thread. Silmalia Blue who I bred and own is by Silver Blue and out of Gamalia a mare bred by Mrs Trimingham by Al Malik and out of Gazania who traces back to Nuhra through Zehraa. I knew both Gazania and Zehraa back in the 70s and they were both beautiful mares who were ridden and Gazania did well in the show ring and was driven in harness by Paul Atkinson.
Silmalia Blue was 2nd at the AHS Nationals as a 2 year old and is a lovely ride but still untried in the breeding barn!! I really must before its too late.

My boy traces back to Nuhra on both sides, his name is Sayan (he's the grey in my signature) by Bayazar out of Sayada, he is 24 years old now and I have had him since he was 3 when I bought him from George at Barton Lodge, would love another one of his breeding as he is a pleasure to own but now retired, LT, I have noticed that your mares breeding has my boys parents as grand parents and I hope she turns out just as nice, she certainly looks it in the picture. |

In 1989 I bred my bay mare Beaumont Safari Rose to Darjeel when he was 27 yrs old and we had a beautiful Liver chestnut colt that we named Yunan He was very like his sire, unfortunately we were not able to keep colts but he was so special and such a kind boy that we sold him aged 2yrs entire, to his owner who still has him. As far as I know he has had two offspring but It is difficult to trace them because they do not appear on allbreeds. One i believe is called Prince Naseem so there are some more lovely Nuhra descendants out there Sue |

Have not been on for absolutely ages and just spotted this thread. Wow what lovely horses Guisburn, such as shame you are not continuing, your horses are absolutely beautiful!
Monique, your Lila is a sweetie.
Here is my Nuhra descendant, Kizzandra (www.allbreedpedigree.com/kizzandra) better known as Kizzy.
She will be 16 this May.
Lovely, lovely horses.
Hope the photos are not too big ~ took me ages to work out how to do it! |

When i looked up the pedigree of a mare I once new, in fact she was the first purebred mare I ever saw, I noticed that she had a line to Nuhra as well. Maybe that's why Lila came on my path all these years ago?? They offered this mare called Risico to me once, but she was already very old then and I was very young still and could not bear the idea of loosing her real soon. Monique |
