Royal Gold (Argos ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Gromin (Grojec ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Dancing Magic (Dancing King ex Munah x Shifari) Contessa Royale (Count Destiny ex Gromin x Grojec) Royal Georgina (EL SHAHLAAN ex ROYAL CHARM x ROYAL BAY) Autumn Gem (Ludo ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Count Radny (Count Destiny ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Gold Silla (Count Destiny ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Royal Bay (Grojec ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Royal Gem (Ludo ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Rissomino (Blue Domino ex Bint el Tarriff x Xayal) Tarragos (Agos ex Bint el Tarriff x xayal) Count Destiny (Radfan ex Royal Destiny x Ringing Gold)
I would be so grateful if anyone can give me information about any of the above bloodlines.....thanks in advance!

I know Royal georgina was owned by Diane Jeffries I think she may have died because of her age when I knew her.
But Elysium Arabians bought a lot of her stock which had Royal georgina in them.,

Thanks guys- your all stars!
Kathleen I don't think there is any more of the horses in your pedigree but thats for replying! I am told Blue Domino was a lovely sire, my grandparents sent on of their mares to him year after year so much so that his owner called her Mrs Domino!
Rafa do you know how I can contact them?
Haggis I love your photos- can't wait to show my grandparents! Thank you all so much again!
Its my grandfathers 88th birthday this year and he lives for his Arabs. The stud was dispersed all over the world 25 years ago and I wanted to surprise him with some nice news!

Hi Gareth
I had Lyana Bint Radfan (Luleilya / Radfan) born 1993, she was Radfans last foal before he died. Made local papers and everything, I have the extracts. I have posted her link below, you can see she also has in her bloodlines Ludo (grandfather), Blue Domino 3 times and Dancing King. She had one foal Kasardi Kareem (Lyana / Kareem who was out of Zircon Nazeer)
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/lyana+bint+radfan
I hope this helps.

I have lines descended from Munah's full sister SAIDI. By a strange coincidence, Munah was for a time owner by some people who later became my neighbours - they could not get her in foal and put her in Cambridge sales, but the story had a happy ending - she was bought by a lady who loved her dearly and she lived to be 30+.
This female line excels at producing top-quality stallions - it is a small family, but 50% of the colts produced have gone on to be high-class sires, including Dancing Magic.
Did your grandparents own Piper's Green Stud? I always wanted to meet Dancing Magic but never had the chance!

Hi Minhe,
Lovely news! No my grandparents owned Phylbern Stud. Oh and they bred Dancing Magic! a beautiful grey horse. He did very well for them- When my grandparents sold him my grandmother would not stop crying and grandpa threatened to go back and pick him up again!I
Munah was always a good breeder for them- thats strange, any way glad she had a good life. Was the woman called Karen?
Lindsay he sounds great do you have any photos?
I know my grandparents bloodlines where very sort after they use to have people come from all over the world to buy stock! There closest friend was Lady Anne Lytton granddaughter of Lady blunt.
Its so exciting- thank you all! |

I've left you a picture of Argos, the sire of Royal Gold. Also, Blue Domino, who is amonst some of the breeding of these horses.
A long time ago, many of the breeders in those days were, introducing different lines to the already popular Crabbet lines.
and also leaving you Blue Domino.
I think you'll find that many of your listed horses, will have taken different lines over the last forty year and since the 1960ies. I am aware of at least two or three horses that are doing well today, that have come from one of the old lines. The mare Munah, who has eight foals recorded, has played an important part in the horses I know today, she produced ARCODA, he has some 18 offsprings recorded to him. I think that ARCODA went to Miss Ann Bowditch at Dorocinia Stud, she seems to have horses from these early lines. Just remember fourty years have passed and there is a lot of water gone under the bridge since them. Miss Bowditch still has several horses about today and doing well, with one or the other Arab in its pedigree. Look at Flittermouze - she has Munah in there from Arcoda. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/flittermouze. A premium mare and she won the Arab Marathon in 1999. Bright Vesper has Royal Gold & Munah from Arcoda, in her pedigree. I've got pictures of this mare from last weekend at Cirencester Park, she's completed 100 miles in one day and represented GBR. Both Flittermouze and Vesper were bred by Ann Bowditch, who we often see out crewing her present day home bred horses around the rides.
1967 -Royal Gold (Argos ex Minsilla x Mikeno) 1966 -Gromin (Grojec ex Minsilla x Mikeno) Dancing Magic (Dancing King ex Munah x Shifari)
I've just looked at the first two listed, these were with the stud in 1969 and listed in the arab directory. Gromin (Grojec/Minsilla) seems to have eight offsprings listed, but several have no progeny on the all breeds, this needs checking out to see if these are just gaps...
Ahmoun comes in at one point and he has a full page of offsprings, including Archimedes, who I new well untill his death a couple of years ago. I also see that Fari II, is in some of the lines, he was one of Miss Bowditches stallions.so I think there will be other links to the Dorocinea stud and all its Arabians.
In 1969 the Phylbern Stud had. Bint El Tariff (four offsprings, El Awal,El Tani.Rissomino,Tarragos.) Minsilla Munah (Arcoda) Royal Gold Royal Bay Saludo(by Ludo) Gromin (By Grojec)
Miss Bowditches resident stallion at that time was Magic Fire.(Crystal Fire). The Fire bit still survives today. all for now.. Sue |

Hi Folks, Its good to know she ended up with a good home. I wonder if anyone has a photo of her, be nice to put one up in her memory. She did after all have these 8 foals and I am awrae that she played a big part in the two or three horses I know today, that are doing well for the Arabian horse. Flittermouze is at stud now and carrying on these lines. Arcoda, I am almost sure went as stud stallion to Miss Bowditch and she would have used him on all her mares.. I'll ask her next time I see her, she's very interested in the breeding lines...So anyone know anyone who had a pic of Mumah that they can share with us...
Cheers Sue Leaving you the foals listed to Mumah on allbreeds, there may be more..

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the amazing help! My grandparents owned the Phylbern Stud in Cambridgeshire. Actually I own the prefix with my grandparents now and breed welsh section Bs. Both my grandparents are nearly 90 and as I might of mentioned it is my grandpa's Birthday in July. I am looking to trace their old bloodlines in modern day Arabs that have been successful as a surprise- they lost touch with the whereabouts of the bloodlines when the stud was dispersed. They owned MUNAH for quite a long time and yes its right she broke her jaw as a youngster but she was always very good breeder for them as my grandmother reassured me. Anyway not to worry I will see if I can pull out an old photo from my grandparents achieve at their home! (give me a week or so) She was a beautiful mare I remember.....
I am so grateful for all the tips on the Arabs containing their bloodlines-
Ok guys so any suggestions on where I can find photos of modern Arabs with these bloodlines????? and maybe where they are now and which studs they are with?????
Thank you in advance- I am so grateful and can't wait to see my grandparents faces with such lovely news!

Gareth, You need to look at the information that Bia has left for ROYAL GOLD, on the Tracing Hores..where are they now....there ar loads of horses from all over the place,France,Germany,Australia, etc.etc. from Royal Bays line and he was just the one of the horses you were intereted in... can you look there...
I also found a few more that originated here in the GB, all had come from Arcoda a son of Muhah.they were Flouiferouz(lives in Derbyshire) Bright Chance (with Miss Bowditch) and Phyzelda( she might also be in the Marathon picture(on the left)she did well might have won in 1998?? with James Owen up. Kharidian, that's right, Jackie Howe! I just couldn't think of her surname
Munah broke her jaw in a freak accident when she was about a year old. According to Eileen Tatam, she was OK in the morning, but when they went to check her in the evening she was in a dreadful state. The only way they worked out she could have done it was if she'd got her head through the spokes of the wheels on the water bowser in the field, panicked, and broken her jaw trying to pull free.
Sue, I'm not surprised Munah is found in exceptional performance pedigrees. This dam line is descended from the famous endurance mare Belka, and Eileen Tatam considered the Arab horse should be an exceptional athlete first and foremost. Munah's full sister Saidi was the dam of Dr June Alexander's foundation mare Scindy who in turn has produced top performers both directly and indirectly through her grandsons Mudir and Marzook (grandsire of Kirsty Brown's Marzookah). Trouble is, this has been the line's downfall, as the mares are such good performers they haven't had chance to replace themselves, sigh.
Munah's other sister, Yasmina, stayed with Eileen Tatam, and as well as Belgian Nat Champ Ghibli produced her riding mare "Heidi" (it's late and I can't remember her proper name!) - who not only went to Towerlands in-hand, but carried Eileen side-saddle for many years!
I would LOVE to have a grey mare from these lines - alas, all gone!
