Originally posted by susan pHi Gari, I have been trawling websites today looking for a suitable stallion for Iana, just wondered who you would choose, with AI the choices seem endless. Susan http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/judals+iana
Hi Susan!
Your girl's sire line is to Amurath Sahib, who conveyed great beauty to his descendants and her dam line is to Rodania, a Keheilan Ajuz. Masses of pretty in the pedigree and double Bright Shadow tho' distant, so she must be very sweet, beautifully athletic, and will be a fun ride.
Personally I'd be looking for a Seglawi line stallion. If money is no object WH Justice or his son Ajman Moniscione....because I just love these two and would love to see him crossed on lines such as yours. Next would be WSA Charismma, Ali Khamsin, et. al.
Really the most important thing is - have you combed through the magazines? Have you seen stallions that appeal to you? What knocks your socks off? You have a very interestingly bred mare, one whom you should be able to breed to any horse that you like...What have you seen at the shows that makes your heart sing?

thank you,yes george is a gorgeous boy with huge eyes, evitaa was my first choice as she has a lovely long neck and is a bit stretchier, her tailset is typically monogramm but george is very strong there and they both have lovely heads, escoveda has a beautiful head and topline but is not so strong ih her movement so i would love to cover her with ekstern if i could afford it!! |

Would love to see some pics of Escoveda if you have the time Lynn. We have one of her daughters, and she is a phenomenal mover. Can't wait to get her under saddle! |

Thank you Lynn. I have some pics of her rugged and very woolly, which I took recently for the girl we bought her from. I shall look them out and put them up. |

I remember Rushan very well Gari. A beautiful boy like so many of the Coward's horses. I own Al Rakka who is by Roxan out of Russallka, so is your boy's and Rusleem's uncle. I will post a pic of him for you to see-hopefully it works, not posted many photos yet

And finally one taken at Malvern this year in the veteran gelding class with his friend Royal Lustre 34yr old in first place and Rakka the youngster at 21 in 2nd place. Lustre is by Rafid (indian Magic x Sunset) by Twinkling Diamond (Count Rapello x Asma)

Wow! Annette, Thank you for posting! I can certainly see the family resemblence! Al Rakka is a full brother to *Rushan's dam, Rullante.

Suhla el kheil is dam to my mare. AYESHA BINT MAURAB now in her 16th year. She was a rescue horse, supposedly 'a nutcase' .However I have to say that this is not the case. She has been ridden by my friends daughter for the passed 3 years. She is 14 now. We dealt with the issues and I would be happy to put a complete novice on her. She has a very balanced appearance. Has taken very much after Aurab.Very upright at the front ,long neck , almost same markings, a strong back , good legs and a very straight mover with a high hock action.. I have signed her over to my friend and her daughter as a gift. She will stay in my stables and fields. We tried to get her in foal this year but she really was terrified of the stallion. I did think about breeding from her but with the glut of Arabs on the market , how can you guarantee a good home. She has had a tough enough time so she will be hacked out quietly and allowed to just 'be'. |
