I have a seven month old colt foal who is fantastically well bred - only problem is he is abit of a handfull and we think it would be kinder for him (in the long run) to have him gelded. How ever I want to keep his blood line and wondered if there is any way semen can be collected prior to castration. I would prefer not to encourage an "artificial covering" on a dummy mare and would rather stay away from surgery. I appreciate he is still only a baby and am not in a mad rush, but I do need to make plans if at all possible.
