Hi,
Hadidi, is by Norus (Gharib X Noha) out of Hebet Allah (Morafic X Soheir II). He was bred by Glennloch Farms and sold as a yearling in their dispersal sale in 1991. In 1997 he was Champion Stallion at the Egyptian Event in Kentucky and World Champion in Paris. In 2001 he was Champion Stallion at the All Nations Cup in Aachen (where the photo was taken) and Res World Champion in Paris. His dam Hebet Allah was US National Futurity Champion in 1977.
He is a horse of extreme type, flamboyant movement and great presence and charisma and is of course 16H too! Despite his famously "iffy" front legs he was the highest scoring horse at Aachen in 2001 with 94 points. Mike |

Dear all
I have loved and will continue to love every minute of your guide to the arab breed. I haven't really ever studied the pedigrees of my babies I just love them because I do, but your love of the breed is fabulous - I am awe inspired!!
Now having read all the posts, digested your vast knowledge and seen the beautiful photos I am wondering if anyone has any info on my boy, Shesk's sire - Sharm el Sheikh (sorry if that's spelt wrong, his papers are at home!!)I have found some info on his Dam - Rose of Bediya, but nothing on his sire and I would just love to see some pictures.
Hope no one minds me hijacking the thread but I didn't know where else to go... |

I remember him when Tony Thoroghgood had him on lease, and the mare Rosey as she was called by Tony, if you can contact Tony she will I am sure fill you in with all his background. I saw her at Merrist wood but I dont have her Phone number anymore I think she moved, if she is on here she will contact you. lynda |

Hi Louisa,
First you are more than welcome to post here, and we will help all we can, but if I may, could I remind you and others that in tracing any horse accuratly, is only posable if the Spelling of that animal is correct and if poss the year of birth, for today the same name is carried by more than one horse. If you could give the full name of your boy and confirm that the sire is Sharm el Sheikh, I have a Sharam el Sheikh by El Shaklan and out of Samanna and two Sharm el Sheikh's One 1989 by Mustapha and out of Kiara Bint Karita. The other 1990 by Naazim and out of Monieta S.
Rose of Bediya 1988 by Silver Blue and out of Princess Rubia has one hell of fantastic pedigree, Ohh and she is the Dam of the fantastic multi champion
OAS Panache
This is the El Shaklan son Sharam El Sheikh

Regards
Bob

Welcome to the Quiz Room Louisa. According to Vol 18 of the AHS stud book your horse is SHESK foaled 1996 by Sharm El Sheikh (Naazim x Monieta S) out of Rose of Bediya (Silver Blue x Princess Rubi'a). I'm sure we can find some photos for you and do ask if you need any more info pedigree wise.
Lynda
Your wish is our command! Here is a slightly easier one just for you!

Best wishes

Thankyou for your replies...

That's my boy.
Bobandena - I would have posted all the details and apologies for not doing so but I didn't have them all with me, maybe I should have waited until I did? Anyway that's my boy SHESK (1996) (well Angie Bells boy but mine right now)That photo is beautiful, I'm still looking for similarities with Shesk but finding few - maybe it's the winter coat, mud and half his mane missing that isn't helping oh and the fact Rabbit is pure white!!
There are some photos of Shesk in Angieb gallery, it was our first ridden outing. I did notice his illustrious connections to OAS Panache, if only we could be half so succesful! |

You are of course right as the photo does indeed show AJA SANAGOR who is not only featured on the ALines main page but was also the Supreme Champion at the Arab Horse Society Nationals at Malvern this year where this photo was taken. Being cheeky I thought it was a good choice for Lynda who had asked for something ‘slightly easier.’!
Louisa
Glad the information we posted about SHESK was correct but the photo that Bob posted is of a different stallion in the USA and not the sire of your horse who is SHARM EL SHEIKH bred by Mr & Mrs E.H. Woodward of the UK. This is his pedigree:
SHARM EL SHEIKH grey f.1990 Sire: NAAZIM (imp USA) Sire: Nabiel (Sakr x Magidaa by Alaa El Din) Dam: Norra (Morafic x Bint Mona by Nazeer) Naazim bred by Gleannloch Farms, Texas USA. Dam: MONIETA S (imp Netherlands) Sire: AK Khattar Moniet (Amaal x AK Monisa Moniet by Ibn Moniet El Nefous) Dam: Malika S (Fikri x Bint Fayek by Fayek) Monieta S bred by J.P.C.M. Smarius, Netherlands.
Nabiel was one of my favourite straight Egyptian stallions though I never had a chance to see him in the ‘flesh’ and Amaal (Morafic x Bint Maisa El Saghira) was bred by Gleannloch Farms too (N.B. the AK prefix was used by Bentwood Farm owned by Mr & Mrs Jarrell McCraken in the USA) I’ll try and post some photos of some of SHESK’S family at the weekend for you.
Right folks - how about another piccie to get you all scratching your heads again? WHO IS THIS??

Hadidi is quite badly over at the knee Which his owners put down to him being overfed as a foal.
Methinks Carolines horse is AK El Sennari The "AK" refers to Al Kariim Arabians which became Bentwood Farms and Jerrall McCracken continued to use the "AK" prefix for some though not all of the Bentwood horses.
