So very sad to hear this news, I had really hoped Karen could win her battle with cancer and I only hope she didn't suffer, she was a vibrant and happy person who was a credit to this forum and to the Arab Horse world. Dear Warwick, please accept my deepest simpathy at this awful time, she was a tough person and will be sorely missed.
Regards, Lisa. |

My condolences to Warwick and to Karen's family. Although I never met her, like lots of others on AL, I felt I knew her, her goodness and light shone through and was an inspiration to many. Karen, may you rest in peace, you will be greatly missed.

I was so so sorry to hear this news; we'd hoped that maybe Karen would beat this awful disease - she went through so much. Our thoughts and love to Warwick and Karen's family, hope she will be at peace now.

The paintings and photos are just lovely. Thank you Nicci for your picture and it's really great to see the photographs of Karen. Puts it all into perspective and shows her at her very best. Perfectly right... A wonderful tribute. |

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Karen's family. I never met her but having used the forum for a couple of years, certainly came into contact with her through her written word.
So sad for such a loved person to go so young, I am shocked and greatly saddened.

I am sure everyone who has posted feels as I do, 'connected' to Karen. We knew her through her posts, she was part of our extended family that added spice and variety to the day, wisdom and spirit. Someone that we looked at first when she posted as she always had something to say that we wanted to read.
Her body may no longer be here but she will live on in many many memories, how I feel for Warwick to have lost such a special person. Even in her darkest hours she thought of others, a very unique lady in many ways. |

Just wanted to thank Pat for her initial suggestion ~ I know I thanked Paula earlier and forgot you ~ so sorry ~ I honestly think the photos of Karen riding in the sunshine and of her with Diarmid in the daffodils will be the images of her I'll always remember ~ she was beautiful and brilliant and devoted to her wonderful horse.
This is just the way I'll always think of her ~ enjoying the sunshine from Diarmid's back.
Thank you again for posting her beautiful photographs ~ a wonderful way to celebrate the life of a unique and lovely lady.
Warwick, we're all thinking of you so very much.

I didn't know Karen but have always read her postings on this board. What a brave, lovely lady and what terribly sad news. Her messages were always amusing and inspirational despite the fact that she was going through so much. My thoughts go to Karen's family and friends. Caroline and Dulciya |

Warwick and family
Our love and prayers are with you all at this tragic time.
There are some words from a Joan Baez song that I love and I hope you don't mind me sharing them with you
"Ride a ridge on a snow white horse and throw my ashes away"
A little piece of Karen will live on in the eyes of her beloved horse
all our love
