Hi Everyone, Just back from my holidays at half-term with a mountain of washing and I accidently washed my sons mobile phone that was in his jeans pocket. I usually check the pockets but on this occasion overlooked it. The phone is now drying out under a radiator, and the battery does still work. Phone lights up but does not work. Have I killed the phone. Anyone else ever done anything like this, and if so what happened.
My son keeps asking where is phone is, and at the moment I keep fobbing him off with excuses. Looks as though I am going to have to put in some extra hours next month in order to purchase a new one. Nicky
I washed James's phone but luckily he asked where the phone was just after i had clicked the 'on' button! So it lived..... but he has dropped phones down the toilet and in pints of beer before now and they have died.
when i first moved in my new house i fell out of my taxi onto the pavement, and dropped my bag which in turn fell open. Keys and NEW mobile both jumped out towards the grid. I only had one set of keys so i'm afraid the mobile got it - down the grid on a busy main road!!!!!
i had had a bad day so got in the house and rang my mum in tears who promptly came down with a child fishing net and fished it out for me - needless to say it never worked again!

You can claim on you contents insurance or if you have mobile insurance - this should pay out for water damage on the phone.
My hubby wasn´t watching his and our son who´s 18mths old decided to put it in the loo!! Thank fully we have mobile insurance, so it only cost us £20 - the phone value was £350!!
Thanks everyone, seems I am not the only one then. It has been two days under a radiator but no luck, so looks as if it has had it. I am off to buy a new one for him. Nicky
