Last summer I took a mare to Rusleem and she did not get in foal. While I was there I saw a fantastic carbon copy of Rusleem, his 6 week old son. I offered to buy him on the spot but John told me that Stephen McMorrow was having him to show. I was a bit gutted but thought oh well I will take my filly to Rusleem 2004/2005. I was so chuffed when Rusleem appeared on the auction and I won the bid. Three days after I won the bid, Stephen contacted me and said I could buy the colt off him as he had a new job and was spending time in Australia, he was also selling his mare Padreem. I was in turmoil I am not rich and to buy the colt and pay for the covering as well was beyond my finances. Also if I had a Rusleem son I could use him on my two mares in a couple of years maybe. I contacted Sally Etchells and Paula/Sean straight away and explained my situation. Stephen has signed a document allowing the covering to be passed on to anyone else. Which I will forward to Sally (only lost her address, if someone has it can they email it to me at heathermcbreen@yahoo.co.uk) So if anyone missed out on this horse because of me I am truly sorry and hope you can all understand the dilemma I was in. I feel very guilty but I wanted the colt so much. He is now in my stable looking just like a mini Rusleem. Hope you can all forgive me, if not, I understand and can only say I have still made a private donation to the DEC fund to compensate in some small way and hope someone else does want the covering still. I did contact the second bidder myself but she has other plans now. Sorry everyone. Heather mcbx

She is a stunning mare and Stephen sold her as soon as she was advertised. She has an absolutely perfect head, lovely nature and although only fairly recently broken is apparently a superb ride. She goes to her new home shortly, I am afraid I don't know who bought her. If you email me I will let you have Stephens email address and you can ask him, I am sure he wouldn't mind. I think he goes to Australia in early March. My email above Heather mcbx

Great I'm glad she is doing so well. I got his email address off his advertisement for her so I have mailed him and I hope he can send me a picture or something. Great I only joined this website a few days ago had no idea where Reema was and now I can hopefully get some good news. Thank you so much for your help Heather. |

I am sure that you will here from the new owner, sooner rather than later.
