Just thought I'd let you know he's been home now for a week, still waiting to see if his operation was a complete success this time. His squint has now swapped sides, pressure removed from the left and operation on the right, but as his vision is already badly damaged as a result of the pressure this is a small cosmetic price to pay.
Last year it was doubtful if he would be able to eat normally again, as a result of the pressure damaging his swallow reflex.
Well this week we had the 'global' gathering, his uncle from Korea, great anut and uncle from Canada, and during our buffet ate 3 portions of alabama chocolate fudge cake, or in other words, half of a whole cake!
Who could refuse him?
He is starting to gain weight so must be absorbing something thats going down the hatch, we had been told he could be in hospital for up to a year while this was sorted.
Thanks again for your messages of support during the very difficult 3 months we have just had with him, he's now had 20 operations on his brain, meningitis several times and is still smiling though it all.

I am so pleased for you, and all your family Vera, you must all be so delighted. Amazing what chocolate cake can do, and children they say never over eat, its just adults that make them, so if he ate the cake of his own volition (is that how you spell it) he must be starting to feel better in himself.
