Well our wonderful mare Assah foaled at 4am this morning and surprised us with a beautiful FILLY!!!!(this will be Assah first and last filly)
This foal arriving has been a real worry to us as Assah has gone blind since she was put in foal, Assah has been so good and a outstanding mum and both Assah a "Ava" are doing well, both are out in the sun and loving it.
I will pop photos on later.
Also a big pat on the back to Daddy Qamar El Dine, this is now his 5th filly in a row this year!
Linda xx

Fab news - and another filly. Such a shame Assah has lost her sight as she's a big beautiful girly.... so this one's a keeper then is it Linda? |

I am so chuffed for you, and your beautiful girl (hasn't she done well!). As predicted, baby is stunningly beautiful. Qamar is certainly stamping his stock nicely! A special Congratulations, i know how much this one has worried you, and especially to the wonderful, gracious and sweet Assah. Ros xxx |

Just a note re blind mares, last years Derby winner was out of mare who was totally blind and had been for several years. She had several foals after she lost her sight and by careful management reared them all herself. She was always kept in the same field with a stable that opened into it, but what I thought might be most helpful for you, was that all of her foals wore a small bell on their headcollars and this helped Park Express to locate her foals and avoid trampling on them!
Lovely foal BTW |

Thank You all for you lovely comments, Ava and mum are doing so well, hopefully out in the sun again today if the rain holds off!
Becky...hands off! We could fall out!!!! Your going to love her!
Narismma ... Yes this would be the Assah you bread, I brought her from the gentleman you sold her to some years ago! She is just an amazing mare, takes my breath away most days! Sadly she will not breed again she will live a happy as life as we can make it for her. As soon as i clapped eyes on her i had to buy her ...she is one beautiful power packed girl! She has bread 3 colts and this being her first and last filly...I had a feeling she would be super! Assah is well and i would have another Assah any day of the week but i know there wouldn't be anther one like her...she is a credit to you! We also have Hafiza, i believe she was also one of your! She is also due to Qamar El Dine ...just a few weeks to wait! I do love the Egyptian cross polish!
Here are some more pics of Assah and Ava!
Photo over load!
