Fantastic news today the pair have competed at Hartbury in the Petplan Equine National Championships BD Winter Nationals
Elementary Open Class the pair scored 63.97% the winning horse 67%.
Placed 8th what a result especially as Roybn is only 15 and Mr Gwiddy the only Purebred Arab competing against a strong class of 30 other horses mainly warmbloods.
Tomorrow the pair will be riding a Novice test (Open)- Good luck I will be there to cheer you on.

Just heard the news myself too, WELL DONE everyone! Such a fantastic achievement for all concerned, and especially for Robin who is just a fabulous young rider.
Best of luck for tomorrow, will be cheering you on!

Well done Robyn and Gwid.
I noticed the pair had a great showing in British Dressage magazine - and much was made about the fact that he is a purebred qualifier working at an impressive level with such a young rider!

Just got back from Hartbury - so exciting Robyn is now lying joint 2nd out of 30 in the Open Novice, she will now be riding off against the top 12 horses for the final this afternoon.
The pair looked amazing rode a truly beautiful test. What a fantastic ambassador Mr Gwiddy is for the Arabian horse and as for Robyn a true star, a lovely young lady with a cool head. Keepying my fingers crossed for this afternoon. |

Such an exciting day. Congratulations to Robyn & Mr Gwiddy and the team.
Final result Robyn came 13th out of 60.
Judge 1 loved the pair placing them overall 3rd
Unfortunately Judge 2 not so keen and did not place the pair.
Awesome competition very pleased for all concerned, I have enjoyed watching such a beautiful stallion behave so impeccably and such a young rider handle the stress of such a competition with a cool head and professionalism of an experience adult. Robyn you are a joy to watch.
Enjoyed my day with you Jean roll on next year. |

Thanks for your support! It was an amazing achievement to even qualify! We got back yesterday afternoon, shattered, but absolutely chuffed to bits! Mr Gwid and Robyn were awesome together, very professional and well behaved, which is more than I can say for some of the Warmbloods!!  The venue was unbelievable, especially the HUGE flower arrangements on brick towers!! HA HA Anyway, Gwid and little Robyn flew the flag proudly for the Arabian breed, and were much admired, even if he was referred to as a 'very nice pony' by one judge!!I have sent pics to Roseanne to post? Thanks!! |

The little girl (16 now!) I ride with came 4th in the novice to music at Hartbury having only qualified on a 'wild card'. We are so proud of her. I will post a picture if I can find one, not an arab but he is my arab's very best friend... |
