Don't want to get all maudlin but just wanted to give Dad a mention as it's a year today that we lost him.I can't believe a year has passed and how different a day it was this time last year. He and I argued lots, usually about horses and the cost of them, but also we had the same sense of humour.I recently found a video of me and him in the office when I dressed up as an australian receptionist with rotten false teeth called Raylene...I didnt think I was ready to watch it but I laughed so much through the tears, his laugh was so raucous you could hear it streets away and that is what I will be remembering today and will have a coffee and a brandy for him later.

Thank you everyone My sister and cousin and my sisters girls came over and we put flowers down and said a few words;safety in numbers! It wasn't as bad as it seemed when we were leading up to today. The tea lights are glowing for him. |
