In the early hours of this morning (0200-0300 Hrs) a friend's pick-up truck was stolen from our yard. It is a black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior - Registration number WF07 LRO. It was taken from the yard at Knighton, Stogursey, West Somerset. It is quite possible the low-life who stole it may have changed the registration plates BUT the truck had a reasonable size dent on the near side of the "drop-down" on the rear of the vehicle due to my friend reversing it into the corner of a water trough !! Can I ask all you Arabian-Liners to keep a lookout for this vehicle, after all it could be anywhere by now, if you know of anyone suddenly having a 'new vehicle' that fits the description or you see it anywhere at all would you please either PM me or email sahirstud@tiscali.co.uk Obviously the police have been informed but if all you great people keep a look out too then we may just get lucky and find it.
REMEMBER IT'S A BLACK MITSUBISHI L200 WARRIOR DOUBLE CAB REG: WF07 LRO WITH A DENT IN THE REAR LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE DROP DOWN. Thank you very much!!
Elaine.

I was a member of the owners club when I had my L200. Their forum has a board for stolen trucks, ill check to see if my login still works tonight and put something on.
Given the number plate am I correct on thinking it was the new shape too?
They are very popular with the travelling community and reputedly hard to steal, so much so that I had letters from the dealer alerting me to a number of carjackings occurring :-( I'd be very suspicious of any camp sites in the area, especially if they have a flat bed hiab crane. |

Hi Mr S - yes it is the new shape and has a double cab (which I've just added into my original post)
Thank you for your offer of help - very much appreciated.

Hi Elaine,
Just to let you know I've mentioned this on the L200 forum and requested they keep a look out. Here's a link in case you need to track response (hope admin doesn't mind me plugging other forums in these circumstances)

One last thing, in order to have the maximum information. As I'm sure you're aware, various different configurations can be had on the back of the L200, chrome bars, canopy, roller shutter etc. Do you know what if any accessories were fitted?
Regards,
Mark |

Totally delighted to advise that the Mitsubishi L200 has been found
The police arrived at the yard this evening to say that it had been found in a field only 4 miles away stuck in deep mud !!! The thieves stole the battery but other than that it's OK - thank goodness.
Huge thanks to you Mr S for your assistance - we're all very grateful for your help
