I'm hoping to take my two year old filly Ptraci to her first show a week on Sunday. It's just a local riding club thing, the classes she'll be entered in are the 2/3year old class (all breeds) and the all age arab class. But not only is it her first show it's mine too - I've never shown in-hand in my life!

So my questions are - what sort of headcollar should I show her in? What should I wear? Also should I take her on her own or should I take one of my others to keep her company? She's quite happy without other horses she knows around as long as she has human company - so I'm thinking it might be better just to take her so she concentrates on me, not on her friend back in the horsebox. Plus any other advice would be gratefully received as I'm completely in the dark about these mysterious things called in-hand showing classes.

Do you have a showhalter?? i shown my 2 fillies last year, used a lovely showhalter, i in hindsight would of only taken one to show, because having a friend there for your horse can be a real distraction. Clothes for you black trouser not too posh flexible something you can run in and a nice shirt and loose jacket always looks nice.
