I'm finally (all being well!) going to use the nomination I've got for one of my mares to H Tobago This has been planned for 2 seasons and not come off for various reasons - my fault - so I'm really looking forward to my mare finally getting in foal.
No other plans apart from that, although I would really like my youngest to go to Murmansk in a year or two. |

Not decided yet but at the moment my front runner is R Ali Bey. He's stunning to look at, stamps his stock and passes on good temperament. |

Have to admit Helen - I think Malibu is rather lovely too. You have a lovely chap there. I always admired him when I went down to Andrea's when Donna had him staying there
Give him a hug!
I'm not too sure on my breeding plans this year - I rather like Texas Magic but I have a foal to Vervaldee due in August so am rather pre-occupied with that at the moment having lost my Vervaldee baby last year.

Not decided who hans is going to this year other than it will probably be a pure bred. I know there are lots of unwanted horses out there but hans has now bred 4 quality foals all with great competitive futures and is in foal again and is doing her best to promote partbreds and her one non arab foal is also eventing I do keep threatening to put cons in foal to billy but i love riding her too much Kirsty

Yes, my next two planned foals - at least - are for me to keep. I've been looking forward to a Tobago baby for ages, and have wanted a Murmansk foal since I last competed with my oldest (several years ago now). |

Hi Lou, He's four years old - he was one of the first Justice babies. Ive used him on my Ffatal Daughters who have both produced some real superstars to different stallions over the years. Affinity had produced 3 grey foals on the trot then when she had a chestnut her face was a picture, she kept looking sideways at it for a week or so after birth, got news for you Fin I think the next one will be a chestnut! Roll on. |

I wish that I already know what stallion I'm going to use. It is hard looking for a non crabbet stallion to breed a crabbet mare with. On my list is a very big and beautiful Russian stallion, his first foal were born last year and I really like them. Or I can use a 2 year old colt with bloodlines to dream of and he is also very nice as a 2 year old now but not sure how he will be as a grown horse. Khidar is also on my list, same as some other stallions.
The difficult for me is that i have to use a stallion that has fresh semen, because I can not travel with the mare and with frozen semen I don't have good experience. Cas Sholanda is due around 20 march, if everything goes well I hope to re-breed her in April, so i still have 2 month of looking around.
Any good ideas around here what to use for a Shogun (Golden Samurai x Fawzeia) x Sharlanda (Al Attorlando x Shillada) mare? She really needs a stallion with a long neck?

Hey Emma, I've been fascinated by your beautiful Arabs on the Crabbet thread. Just thought I'd say that Shillada was my Mum's foundation mare (bought and transported to North Wales from Canvey Island) when I was a kid! Lovely chestnut girl!
My question for this thread is; what do people want to do with the foals they want to breed? Ride, show in hand, or breed?? |

Hi, unfortunately i am breeding my crabbet mare, Wrenwood Zerrafin, with a TB - Kings Composer. Would love to breed with a 100% crabbet down the road but I want something rideable and I am a little too tall to end up with something under about 15.1 so I am not taking that risk. having said that, Kings breeding is amazing himself so I am looking forward to a stunning Anglo to play with! |

Roseanne, thank you for the nice comment on our horses, we are very lucky to have them here around us. Do you still own horses af Shilada lines? And did you try to breed these line with another stallion then crabbets?
At Sammie, how tall is you mare and the crabbet stallion what is his size? We have Naomi Rose, she will be 14.1/2, we breed her with Aurilla Gold, 16.0 and thes foals are now al matured around the 15.2. How tall are you? I'm 1.75 meter and I have to say that Rose is to small for me but horses bigger than 15.1 with a good body are a perfect size for me, don't like horses bigger than 16.2 |

Mine are pets first All are riddden - my youngest hasn't been backed yet because she was very ill last year and I'm giving her time to recover but the others are riding horses, and I hope to start doing endurance with one of them some time. Finally I should have time to get them properly fit this year (apart from the one going to be AId)! Future foals will also be ridden horses, again planning on doing endurance but it would be nice to do some dressage if I can get my act together too. |
