Great News - With the kind permission of the AHS The National Crabbet In-Hand Championship will be held at the AHS Nationals 2009, Malvern this year. . Wonderful to see committee's pulling together, especially in today's current economic climate.

More Crabbets at the Nationals than one realises. The next Crabbet Journal has a gorgeous colour photo feature of the Crabbet Arabians at last year's Nationals - magazine printed and mailing right now so look out for it. Hoping you will all like it! |

I know nothing about showing but would love to take Ishara, how do you qualify and as it's at Malvern does that mean you need to be an AHS member? |

Hi Joanna To compete in any class at the Nationals you need to be a member of the AHS. There are designated regional shows holding Crabbet Championship qualifiers. If you send me an email to suzanne@cruisecontrolpa.co.uk I will happily send you all information you need. Sue |

What a fantastic sight this class will be I would have loved to take my boy, who has already qualified, but living in the North East of Scotland makes that unlikely........maybe once he is a backed and going under saddle, we will make a concentrated effort to travel down

Does the handler have to be an AHS member too or just the owner? |

Any Arabian of 75% or more Crabbet bloodlines who has placed 1st or 2nd in a Crabbet Class in any year, or 1st or 2nd in an in-hand class at one of the two Crabbet Shows run in 2006 and 2007 qualifies to enter these championship classes at Malvern. For full rules contact Suzanne at suzanne@cruisecontrolpa.co.uk .
The Crabbet Committee is attempting to compile a list of all qualifiers to date at the moment - that should soon be ready to refer to. |
