He looks lovely if that is him in your pictures. I give all my youngsters stud cubes with some hi fibre mix. Don't get him overweight as it is very bad for youngsters. You could give him Bailey's outshine nearer the show season to get him in show condition as it will help his coat as well as put condition on.

Angel,
Barbara is absolutely right, Bailey's no 3 stud cubes until he stops growing, I feed until I break in then look at changing depending upon work load ect... For showing top up with Outshine, having him overweight will only creat potential health/joint problems in the future. A slighty under weight growing younster is easier to correct than an obese one!

Hi Angel,

sounds fine what he is on at the moment. All boys are doing extremley well, especially Max and Bonanza, Max is 3 this year and currently measuring 16.3, he looks like a big brown bear!! Baby Bonanza looks the image of his grandad, Krayaan he is 2 this year and growing well, he is in a 5ft9" rug already!! Little fluffy orange bear with blonde main and tail. Although 50% crabbet he certainly has the Bharani look, big chunky shoulder.

Will post some pics when I work out how!!

Amanda

hi Angel - our feed is brilliant, and has saved us a lot of dosh as we buy a tonne at a time. Horses have never looked SO good, and we're feeding less than we were when we were on Stud nuts etc.

Can email you details of you like - local to you too!

Hi Angel,
How are you and Baz doing? Haven't heard from you for a while. Hope to meet up with you somewhere on the showing circuit this year. Hoping to get all three of mine out this year.

Baz is a shy 14.3 i have just bought him a fly sheet for the summer and had to go for a 5'9 for him to grow into. They get big sooooo fast, a joy to watch.

Can I ask why most of you prefer Stud Cubes to Stud Mix?

Baz is on a balancer at the mo, but i personally prefer cubes to mix for two reasons, they are cheaper and contain less starch i think so less heating..but don't quote me on that, also reading the back of the bag cubes go further.

Whats your stunners on Deboniks?

speaking as someone with one youngster and a broodmare, i prefer the cube to the stud mix purely because it has a longer shelf life. I wasn't using enough mix to finish a sack before the use by date!

"Whats your stunners on Deboniks?"

Hi Angel,
Thanks for the nice comment

Magic is mainly on Baileys stud mix ,graze on and unmolassed beat.
(Flame has a cup of bruised oats, a handfull of unmolassed beat and a handful of graze on.)

I add herbs/vinegar/fruit and veg sometimes.
