Any one do this ride, I saw this ride in a whole new light and I mean light for the past two years it has been really bad weather you could not see the view and we had heavy rain hail sleet thunder and lightening when vetting, so this year the weather was sunny quite warm but with a lovely strong breeze, I saw views I did not know existed it was really wonderful.

On the down side I got in real S**t with the orgainser who was waiting for me at a check point, she stated that I was given a late vet time because this particular cp would not be there until a spec time and that the marking would not be in place. I apologised and stated that in 15+ years of endurance riding I have never been held to a spec vet time, she was very angry saying that you are given a time for a reason and if I organised rides I would know this. I stated I have orgainsed rides and only give late vet times to people travelling a longer distance but never held them to that time. I was still apologising she was very angry telling me it was a case of eliminating me or rushing out to mark the route and dragging a cp out.

She told me I should have telephoned to change my vet time, if I had been told this when I had booked in that my vet time was set in stone due to the cp not being there etc I would have downgraded.

All I could do was say I was sorry for all the inconvenience caused and hope that she would not eliminate me, it did take a little of the enjoyment out of my ride, as when returning from that cp I did feel very down and slowed up considerably.

In future I will have to check my vet time and if does seem quite late ask the orgainsiers why!

What a prat.

Sorry Dee, but she should have had everything marked up and CP's in place BEFORE the ride started.

No BUGGER told me that there was a delay in the CP or I wouldn't have made such a mistake, lack of communication me thinks. I will admit to being a prat but I am not the only one to blame, how are you supposed to know a cp won't be there until a certain time unless you are told and I always read my notes, nothing. So I am not owning up to all the wrong!

Thanks Kerry clippy clop
