Anyone going to Sherwood Forest in September! I'm hoping to go, if all broken bones are mended!!! We could have a get together.

Hi Esther,
No, no plans for you but if you do manage to get there it would be great. Will you NOT be planing to bring Spider out for this ride.???
Hi Dee,
Broken Bum Bone for the 2nd time and broken Elbow, really P***ed off but starting to ride soon so will be doing 40 or 50k only. I know I can do 40k standing up, did it at Euston Park in 1998 Inter-regionals, the first time I broke my bum bone. My arm is a bit of a worry as it has bits of shattered bone still floating about, still don't know if they are to operate or not. Dollar has been covering mares and his heart rate must be 100 mile fit, when he isn't covering he's looking for a mare and parading his stuff back and forward along the fence line. 10 miles plus a day at the very least, so he'll not take much to get him back into work. Say's she with fingers crossed. Goodness knows how I'll feel the first ride, its been ages since I've ridden.
Just been to read about Kaddy, great news!!! I've got some great sticky bum jods you can lend, sounds like you'll need them.hehehe

Sounds like you need the sticky bums with treble padding hey shirley. Hope you recover quickly, back in the saddle nothing like it. I bet the sight of dollar parading up and down the fence to his girls is a beautiful one, cause he's a beautiful boy.

Shirley, there may be a silver arab there neighing his head off at all the other horses, there may not........ :-)
I was very very chuffed with Orrie over the weekend, he is such a little trooper. He is half arab (by Cochise out of the Welsh Cob Okeden Bramble) so I guess he does warrant a mention on this board. More 'Land Rover' than 'Ferrari' but sometimes it's the Land Rovers that win the day isn't it. And he's as honest as they come, bless him. No plans though........ |

Hi Shirley,
Yes we are hoping to go but dont know which horse yet. Are you entering the team event? It is usually a good track. And are you going to Lindum again in July?

Hi Diane,
No, not Lindum this year. I so wanted to go but its too soon for me. Looks like Sherwood will be my only competitive ride this year. I'm sort of up for the teams??????? but Mike may not pick me, he'll want to start with a full team of riders and horses fit and healthy and I'm still a big ????????? at the moment. My elbow is healing great and if there's bits floating about, they don't bother me at all. I'm booking in anyway, so will see you there. If your going to the Lindum have a great ride and have a drink or two for me. Are the night time meals on again this year? I can almost taste the food!!!!
Thanks Dee, yes Dollar is a sight for sore eyes parading himself, but not to-day!!!! He's the dirtiest, muddiest colour you've ever seen. Constant rain and wind and Dollar just loves to roll around in the puddles. Why have I more grey's than any other colour????? It wasn't planned that way, roll on the Summer.
