After a few issues with overexcitement at shows I finally managed to get my young palomino PBA Jazz to a dressage show today. My plan was just to compete in two Prelim tests and stay on!! She gets very excitable when other horses are working in round her.
Anyway... had to get my instructor to work her in for me in the warm up because she was like an unexpoded bomb and was sensing my nerves but we went on to complete both tests with 58% and 63%. The second test was fab - she was really settled and we got a 5th. It was a decent standard at the show so I was gobsmacked and very very pleased.
A big congratulations to both of you , keep training and finding something to focus on . Set yourself attainable goals and really work for them . You will find this helps keep you motivated and the successes will roll in ! Well done.
