Im looking for reliable horse insurance to cover for vet bills (just incase) for arab mare who is in her 20s.any insurance can cover for elder horses,info welcome
Amtrust Equine..even got Emergency Colic Surgery and hospitalisation costs for my 22 yr old. And if you are willing to pay a bit more each month, they will give you a 2 month payment holiday.
NFU have been fantastic with my mare, she is going for surgery on her tendon at the liphook equine hospital on tuesday,they have paid interim payment on time and been really helpful,i dont know what i would have done without the insurance! be bankrupt thats for sure!and they didnt put the premium up which i was very pleased about! I've heard only good things about NFU. I'll be insuring my youngster with them next year. Ones to avoid are E&L and there is another insurance company owned by E&L that offers really cheap insurance but then like E&L never pays so watch out for them.Petplan is abit dubious too apparently but I'm not sure about that...
Both of mine are with pet plan at the moment but after getting quotes from NFU I will be changing to them when renewal comes up next year. Let's just say same cover at half the price!!!!!!!
