I think I ordered all my tests of the BHS site if memory serves me. They come in a folder and are laminated which is very handy. You can order all the prelim ones or all novice ones or both. As to bits i'm not sure as have only ever used a snaffle so can't help with that one but again i'm sure it will say on the bhs site.

Hi Sazzle!
Good luck with your show. I believe the straightbar happy mouth is absolutely legal. But if you want to check go to the BD website and look in their rules which explain it all. Also you will be able to get dressage tests from there.
Hope you will be able to post some pics,
xx P |

Oh good luck Sarah
I'm sure the happy mouth is BD legal but are you doing unafilliated? If so, I wouldn't worry too much as they won't check!!
I can have a look at the rules (give me 5 mins)..........
The best place to get tests is www.dressagediagrams.com - you can get them online and print off instantly so no waiting around!
What test are you doing? |

Just checked and your bit is LEGAL
"Bits of rubber, nylon or other synthetic materials are permitted. Bits must be used in their manufactured condition without any addition to/on any part. Only the bits that are illustrated are permitted [there is an illustrated straight bar], mouthpieces may be used with any of the cheeks or rings illustrated. A mix of metals in the mouthpiece are permitted. A plastic snaffle with a cylindrical rotating mouthpiece is permitted. Minimum diameter of the mouthpiece should be 10mm. Snaffles used in Young Horse classes must have a minimum diameter of 14mm."

Hi your bit is fine thats what i used to compete my boy in before i changed to a KK training bit - it is fine and they will not say anything. I agree with Pasha about getting your tests from there thats where I get all mine from. They are so good and alot cheaper than most places. Good Luck with you horse and please let us know how you get on. |

Hi Sarah
You can buy the tests online from Robinsons Country Leisure - the whole pack is £24. Look under "for the home" and then "multimedia"
If you let me know which test you want, I can send it through to you until your pack arrives if that would help.
good luck

I buy all my dressage test sheets (a4 laminated with diagrams) from www.dressage-direct.com . You can buy single tests or complete sets and delivery service is excellent. Hope this helps and good luck |
