Hi - I have a friend that is desperately looking for an Anglo filly foal to buy. She is based in North Wales but can't find anything. Preferably black or dark bay - any ideas? Thanks, Sally.

I know that Suyen (Suyents) on here had a bay Anglo filly for sale. I think she is a 2yr old. She is in Devon. I can get her contact details if you wish?

Hi - is this the first one on the mares for sale section? Just had a look and it doesn't state that she's an Anglo and in my ignorance didn't recognise the breeding. Thanks - I'll pass the info on! |

You're welcome
I didn't realise the advert was on here, but yes that is her. Her breeding is on All breed pedigree (Chi Lin Mirage).

We breed Anglos - every year I think since, well - forever!! Sadly we lost our Anglo plans for 2008 (dead twins undetected on scanning) But will have some next year
Anglo fillies = hens teeth a bit at the moment - I know we have retained most of ours |

I still breed Anglos but the only one available is a colt related to my first Anglo - Marbon Beaujolais - AHS Premium Stallion. He had a half-brother Marbon Bordeaux (who unfortunately died quite young) and half-sister, Marbon Bouquet (my daughter's showjumping mare) who is also the dam of the colt, Marbon Burgundy. He is by Canto (Imad/Carillion) and is unfortunately going to turn grey. We had hoped to show him this summer but unfortunately he kept shooting up and did not stay level for long enough. Good luck in your search for the right one.

Hi Sally, with Anglo numbers as they are, most folk opt to breed their own and hope for the 'right' sex! We have a very special bay filly but she's mine all mine (evil laugh!!)... Will let you know if we think of anyone likely to have one for sale. (are Maraday still breeding Anglos?) |

Heath Stud in Surrey had a gorgeous Anglo-Arab filly foal for sale (Sarfraz/Just Me) which was foaled in May this year. Also i think there was an Anglo for sale at Biddesden Stud, think that filly might have been slightly older though.

Hi Mirage...still breeding Anglos, have been since the early seventies nothing for sale at present except a super colt foal who, in view of the shortage of Anglos will not be gelded. Hope you are able to find a suitable filly.

Does anyone know of an Anglo that is, or will mature, 16.2-ish? Not bothered about gender or colour. Preferably aged foal - 4 years?
Horse sized Anglos are becoming rarer than hen's teeth!!!
We already have 2 part breds that meet the criteria (thanks Mrs Vlacq for the wonderful Vlacq Emerald Theoden) but we're looking specifically for an Anglo. |

Hi.....my 2008 colt foal will be big...not sure 16.2 but think he will make 16hh....big strong chap..quality and good bone All my bloodline have proved to be good performers. Good enough to stay entire. His two year old full blood sister is near 15.2 already and was a first foal, so think he will go bigger
He is Bay, tiny star E-Mail if you want more info www.SunrayAngloArabianStud.co.uk

We have a thoroughbred mare by Nicolette out of Peace Mission in foal for 2009 to Hussain - Crusader/Heloua - his purebreds are making nearly 16hhs so do not expect this to be a small Anglo! We also have Willowcroft Regal Bronze partbreds, so breeders are out there. We know of other Anglo breeders for 2009 we are all based in North Yorkshire!

Hi Sally, we have a 3 year anglo colt (Chancton Golden Colours - Golden Heights t.b. x Desert Colours a.a.h.s.) who we plan to stand at stud next year. We are eagerly awaiting his first 'crop' of foals in the new year. He stands about 16 hands and we expect his babies to be tall and full of quality. He has been lightly shown including Malvern this year where he was champion and you can see his photo in this months The Arabian next to his big brother Ottoman. Sorry for the blatant advertising but like you said there are so few anglos out there I am determined to put them back on the map. Rachel x |
